So I've got a Spanish computer, and a huge problem. Basically, Microsoft Word has decided to be an arse and wont let me insert anything without typing over whatever has already been typed. On my normal Computer, i just press insert, and the problem is sorted. However, on this computer, there doesnt appear to be a insert button. So does anyone know what the hell to do, as its getting bloody annoying now.

At the bottom of the screen in Word you should be able to toggle 'OVR' with your mouse.

In the long term, simply buy a £2 UK keyboard from asda/tesco and change the localisation options in the appropriate control panel, sorted.

Defo one scenario where windows beats my Gentoo, I'd have to rebuild half the fookin OS with EN-GB options if it had been installed in bull-bullierese.

Depends whether the Mrs is PS2, USB or firewire. And of course, it depends on whether you need to access the front panel port or the one at the rear.
