So it's Lewis's chance to prove to me once and for all that he is not actually Nigel Mansell by not losing a title he soundly deserves through ill luck or brain failure.

Is he going to Mansell it? By having a puncture or a huge crash or running over his pit crew or breaking a fundamental rule that any 9 yr old kart racer would know (think Mansell, and others reversing in the pits). Maybe he will ace it. Maybe he will ace it and be disqualified/banned/crucified for some entirely new rule that only applies to drivers who's car (skin?) is not a certain colour[1]. MAYBE, he's sling it in the hedge, but be gifted the crown on some technical point against a rival (I'll give you 25,000:1 against this), it COULD have happened last year, but couldn't if you see what I mean, and even if it had, it woulda been a farce.

What I hope happens is that Lewis survives the slaughter that will be Turns 1 and 4, and he sails along minding his own business in 2nd place, Massa should win the race, I would never, even in the heights of anti-RedCar sentiment begrudge a Brazillian a win at Interlagos, nor begrudge it to those grandstands full of racing LOONIES. They get to dance until Christmas for the win and Hammo gets a great big fuck off

on the nose of his all new, slickshod, skinny winged 2009 McRon.

[1] You gotta love some of the pricks who think they are fans of Alonso and their racist attitudes, they haven't grasped that Ferdie hates Lewis's guts for purely professional reasons, he doesn't strike me as a Nazi. Of course there are Nazi's (or at least members of the British Facist party) in charge of things.......Spanish officials do not a lot about a bunch of racist fucks taunting Lewis at test sessions.....penalty imposed? Give them a second GP, and one that's at a track which does nothing but detract from the sport.

EDITEDITEDITEDITEDIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One amazingly happy though for all of us.....no matter who wins today, no matter who loses today, my friends, we N E V E R have to listen to that open scrotal sore, that septic foreskin, bane of our lives these last 5 year........James ALlen. The cock has been stopped. Last I heard, the beeb were having Brundle And DC (for as long as he can keep it clean, so about 24 minutes then), but that the FIA are sending guys to annoy the BBC and whisper "are you sure about this Brundle fella, he's a lot of trouble you know, and Herr Oberst Moseley doesn't like him). Wont work, the Beeb know how much we all loved James Hunt, Brundle is cut from the same cloth, they will want to keep him.

Dear $DEITY I hope they don't give pishflap voice the BTCC to do next year.

So I'm watching the TV coverage, hoping for some great promos from Hamilton and Massa, and what did i see? A HILARIOUS video with various drivers, crew, presenters, techinicans and want not miming to "The Black Parade" by My Chemical Romance. It was, without question, the greatest thing I have ever seen.

Thanks fuck its going back to the BBC though. After Brundles pit walk it straight back to 5 live.

That was liquid driving.

A risky move though; moving off the dry line in dry tyres was a massive risk. If he'd spilt it there it would have been game over.

It might have been a bit more responsible to keep 6th and wait for someone ahead of him to pull out.

The jammy booger!

Still will probably have it taken away on some technicality or whatever.

Pretty funny watching the red team jumping around thinking they'd won it.

But Burt's right - Hamilton will have broken ONE of the rules for sure

See how much trouble he had putting his wheel back on? That'll fall off on the way into parc ferme, and out he goes. Not too chuffed with the Brazillian crowd, booing and so on before the race is just pantomime, but one would expect sporting grace once the deed was done.

Still, the last corner, of the last lap, of the last race.....I think I need medical help after that.

It's sad that Fil was so busy being gutted about the championship that he couldn't enjoy his Interlagos win.

Roll on March. Slicks.Clean car bodies, no ads, no James Allen. Bliss.

Will be refreshing pitpass.com from now until I leave for work at 2230hrs......waiting to read "Massa takes title as Hamilton disqualified".

I felt pretty Sorry for Massa Senior as I watched his face just fall off him when he seen Lewis's position. Then I thought about what Anthony Hamilton's face would have looked like a few hours after Spa.

Ted Kravitz made his debut at the 1997 Canadian Grand Prix if i recall, as Brundle was away doing Le Mans or something, and at the final minute of the final hour, he finally endeared himself to me;

"I'm not supposed to be standing down here, but its our last race, so what the hell"

I will say this about ITVs coverage and James Allen. I would rather have James Allen than Richard Hammond, as seems to be have been touted. And Steve Rider is, always has been, and always will be a great great man.

A great man? Fucking hell Liam he's a bloody sports anchorman! If he was a great man he'd have gone and found a cure for something unpleasant or done something amazing with words or made some music or something. Get a fucking grip. Great man my arse.

Did anyone see David Bobin at the start of the footie programme on Sky Sports News yesterday? Now that's a great man

All of ITV's team are great, except James Allen, who is utterly painful to have to listen to.

It SEEMS as if it may be the bloke off five live with either Brundle or DC, though both are on the team apparently. Hammond, who is most amusing in his environment, would be a tragic choice.

Ted also gained points for that little comment, but he's had a few good ones before, he's also been THE scoop reporter on a few ocassions......for example at fuji last year, he was the one that pointed out Ferrari were cheating with their tyres, and it was he who first caught whiff of impending tyre disaster at Indy. Still looks like he was created by Gerry Anderson of course.

like I said, I my heart broke for Mr Massa, for about 5 seconds.

I would like to state, since we're talking presenter quality, that Martin Brundle is the greatest pundit that any sport has ever seen. He may not have James Hunt's fucking evil toungue (the old GP's I've been watching frequently have to be paused while I finish laughing at him.....not found the mythical "the trouble with Arnoux (or Lafitte or some other frenchman), is he's a miserable French twat (or even cunt, been a long time since I heard it discussed), said off mic (probably while skinning up before "taking a look at the conditions on the back of the circuit", but which leaked into Murray's mic (well they only had one that they fought over).......Brundle does have FAR more experience in racing, a couple of hundredish GP's Multiple Le Mans winner, sports car world champion).

Of course Martin Brundle never went on Superstars, drunk and stoned out of his tiny gourd after being up all night partying and still embarrassed a load of (stone cold sober [1]and well rested) footballists and boxers and the like by thrashing them at everything.

[1] Apart from whatever poor fuck of a co-contestant he'd had out with him, who was such a mass embodiment of post-party fail that he had to have his target pistol taken off him before he shot himself or someone else witb it.

I just hope Lewis and McRon never dominate like Von Cobblers and Scuderia Axis did. I'd hate to have to hate him ;)

He's the one that impressed me at the weekend.

Well done Lewis. Really pleased for the guy. He seems to be a pretty rounded, sound guy to me and I'll never forget his visit to the childrens cancer ward at Great Ormond Street last year. Really chuffed his crowned world champion after all the knocks people have given him.

Im glad the Beeb have got coverage back. ITV didnt even bother hanging around to see Lewis lift the trophy. Very strange after race events too. Messa on the podium and catn contain his bitter disappointment. Never seen a winner lose so much. But Im sure he'll win it one day. Lewis hanging around the corriders. Strange proceedings. Or is it me or could any nutter have got to him with all the mellee of people hustling him as he finished the race?

Also, wonder what instructiosn Glock got from his constuctors. "Let Hamilton pass, we dont want Ferrari to win!".

I've been thinking about this too. But I can think of no reason why Toyota would suddenly feel an alegiance with McMerc/hatred for the RedCars....the only possibility is that someone at TTE was disgusted at all the folks speaking out to say "we'll make sure that fuzzy wuzzy loses and Fil wins", and thought "don't worry son, we'll watch your back". Also, if he HAD let Lewis by deliberately, he'd have stuck the hoof down hard once he was past, but you can see as Hamilton climbs the hill, Glock's still way back down the bottom strugling to get any power on the road.

Now.....if you wanna talk about 3rd parties getting involved.....that was a VERY good engine Seb Vettel had wasn't it ;)

PS Arek: your boy seemed to be nowhere yesterday, most odd. Then suddenly appears and unlaps himself right through the battle for the W/C you just gotta love him. I wonder if Vettel/Hammo/someone punched him for it, the way Senna beat Irv up for unlapping himself. Senna was a driving God, but defo something of a bell-end.

Yes my boy screwed this race up and he lost third place - and this is the most important news for me. Lucky Lewis, it was his really nervous race, actually I expected him to win in Brasil, congratulations.

the beeb has reported that the mclaren team knew lewis would catch glock - they could see him slowing on their telemetry due to the rain.

Yeah they have a GPS relay from race control showing where every car was on track. Thing is, they expected Glock to pit when everyone else up front did. When he didn't it was brown trouser time.....would it rain enough to push Glock's tyres off (as Brundle calls it), the cliff when grip just reduces exponntially until you have none at all......seems it took it until the very last lap to happen. If he hadn't taken Glock, there would have been wailing and gnashing of teeth as Massa would have won it based on number of wins, one of which was taken off Lewis (deservedly or not) and given to him(utterly undeservedly as the little twat had been fucking nowhere all afternoon), that would have REALLY bothered a lot of people, yours truly included.

Sunday did show that if they drug/beat/threaten/bribe him enough, Hammo can actually drive for a championship instead of hotlaps and wins.
