Funny you should say that as I was about to post the very same explanation as to where Neil Peart fits into my world view of drummers

Alien, Canadian, all the same isn't it? Look at Celine Dion!

FIXED.....

Actually my favourite ever Rush tune, the name of which totally escapes me, is the one about the guy discovering this strange piece of wood with wires on it which make a pleasant sound when plucked.

This may possibly be because it doesn't smash my head in with my inadequacies with every beat, like every other Rush tune does.

Are you talking about part 3 of 2112????

I like Rush. Signals and Grace Under Pressure are virtually New Wave albums. They are really a very diverse band.....Yes they're Canadian, but we can overlook the negatives sometimes.

Well whenever Geddy's voice cracks-it will be a first.

I have LOVED their last two records, "Vapor Trails" and "Snake and Arrows" 60+ years old or so and just ROCKING!!!

They are all excellent musicians as well.

I agree with you. Fantastic records....The SNA tour was also great. The new songs are inspiring and put younger "hard rock" bands to shame.

Rush: One of the greatest of all time.
