Anyone got it yet.Top album. Favourites at moment as well as my favourite HUMAN,are LOSING TOUCH,the next single SPACEMAN (very New Order-y) but the best has got to be JOYRIDE.It's just got a killer bass-line conjuring up images of 1978/Nile Rogers/Roller Disco/whipper collars.

I didn't like the last album, so I won't give this one a chance anyway. But I admit "Human" is a catchy song (with some of the most ridiculous lyrics I ever heard).
I didn't like the last album either so I haven't bothered with this and I don't like 'Human'.
Maybe the other songs will restore my faith.

Eh? I've heard that Spacemam track twice now.Once on Later and once on Radio 1.It's fucking awful and shouldn't even make a b side.And it doesn't sound anything like New Order.At least that's a good thing though, that they aren't sounding like New Order and doing their own thing.Unfortunately they fail miserably with that song.I actually liked Human for a couple of days once i'd got over Foghorn's embarrassingly lame vocal.But when i hear it now it doesn't flow right.

The Killers haven't done anything decent since the first five tracks of their debut album. They should have released 'Hot Fuss' as an EP with 'All These Things...' as the final track and then split up.
I've never known an album to open so strongly then deteriorate into such utter garbage. I only heard the singles from the follow up album; all shite. As for the 'Dancers' thing they've got out the now.....
That single the radio played to death round about the time of their last album put me off them for life. Can't remember the name of it but the lyrics bellowed "He doesn't look a thing like Jesus" etc. and fuck me, it was the most irritating song I've ever heard.
Anyway, It sounded like a cross between Meat Loaf and Springsteen.
The Killers are one of these U2-wannabe bands; they're more like a board of directors and have the next four albums plus Best Of/Greatest Hits planned well in advance. Ensuring every aspect of the musical production is perfect is the same to them as ensuring every aspect of the promotional campaign is perfect.

At least they don't they have pretenses to the sort of self-righteous social import that U2 aspires to. But they are very cookie-cutter pop. The new album screams Duran Duran more than anything, so there you go.
At the same time, it's adorable how New Order fans are too precious to appreciate some good old CAMP, which is really all the Killers are good for. (And really, stereotypical New Order fans LOVE them some Pet Shop Boys, but hate Erasure? Where's the double standard on camp?) I suppose because I don't listen to the radio, I don't get bombarded with it all the time, but it's mildly endearing in its naive but catchy and overwrought badness.

Yeah not the overall song admitted,it's the non-chorus bits that have got this Hooky-lite bass or bass sample to it. It's growing on me more and more. "Spaceman is telling you to look down...it's all-in-your-mind!"
The last song's (excluding the bonus track)intro reminds me a bit of Sunrise too.

Raise the Pressure is crap from start to finish. I love Brotherhood though. And I love both sides equally.

I know what you're trying to say and it won't work! 
I am a fan of PSB but can't say I'm mad keen on the more recent overly camp stuff. The last album (especially "I'm With Stupid" and "The Soddom and Gemorrah Show") was a bit too much for me in places; can't really listen to some tracks without cringing. The last decent and complete piece of work PSB released was Disco 3 to be honest, that's one of my top 5 electronic pop albums. Genius.
Contrary to the NO fan stereotype I don't mind Erasure either (quite like The Innocents album) but again, they've overdone it occasionally and looked like twats. Twats in drag to be precise.
Besides, I don't think The Killers see their material as "good old CAMP" anyway; from the interviews I've read (the singer anyway) is being deadly serious in every note he sings a'la U2 (unwavering, unwarranted confidence etc).
I mean, he can't even grow a 'tache that joins in the middle! 
Well, if he's really that serious, then it's all the more camp. Naive camp, to be more specific. Perhaps we just need some more historical distance from it. Look back at these albums in 10 years (provided the band is long gone by then, fingers crossed) and see if you don't crack a little smile.
