So I'm sitting here geek-chilling (which is basically moving 100's of GB of files around into a better order to satisfy my geeky OCD ridden brain, where most people would by now have deleted most of my stash of shite). And as I do so, my digital photoframe is flashing up pictures. There's more or less all of the lolcats as of about April, a few from Failblog, and about 10 of mine and 100 of Leggy's from the 2005 Wembley/NOOL/Wolves weekend. Now, shocking as seeing ROCKET MicK at 4am is to the constitution, a more bizarre thought came to me......

While I was away, my mother, from NORTHERN IRELAND, sat in NORTHERN IRELAND, worrying that her son, from NORTHERN IRELAND, would be injured in a terrorist related incident while in Engerland.

Talk about things being turned on their heads. I know folks from England who worked and lived and went to school here when things were deeply shite, and the things they said about what their mates had asked them and worried about were LOLworthy in the extreme......but then my own kin start with it, oh dear. Thing is, she grasps the basic terrorist premis of "ignore them and they fail" when dealing with our own bunches of spackers, but somehow felt the Engerlish variety would kill me worse or something??

But basically, a norn iron woman worrying about her kid in engerland

EDIT: reminds me...... walking up to Wemberley, I wanted to dispose of some MacBallburger's wrappers properly. I have been well raised and do not wish to dirty up somewhere where I am a guest. In my quest I inquired of my fellows...."don't you twats have bins? Is this all some scam to bust people for littering?" to which one wag replied....."with weird cunts like you from nothern ireland sneaking about, would YOU put litter bins near your national stadium?" or words to that effect.

Not sure which of you pillocks it was but

It still fucks me off that you can't find a bin on an rail platforms. No wonder the stations are crawling with vermin.

You have the terrorists to thank for that.

i very nearly got myself locked up while pissed in Blackpool during the tory party conference in the late 80's (thatcher era) went up to a copper, and in very bad fake Irish accent said "hey pal, where the best place to leave my bag?", no sense of humour the gun toting coppers.

(can we fix it so that when humour is spelt (or spelled? another american-ism) correctly is doesn't show as a spelling mistake?)

Actually it's the dumbfuck statistically ignorant governemt. You cannae get a decent bomb in a litter bin. If they wanted to do something useful they'd ban beat up transit vans.

erm... do you?

I thought it would have been the government, the council and the over zealous security officers?

It amazes me that these people havent clocked on yet that dropping a bag in a bin is so passe these days. The modern terrorist is a suicide bomber! And how the fuck are you going to stop them?

Wehn i waslking down Market Street the other day, I noticed a bin right outside HMV. Now, if some fucker drops something in that on a Saturday afternoon, its going to be much more deadly than anything dropped in a train station, and no fucker is going to notice. Yet that bin is safe.

Yes, it pisses me off there are no bins on Picadilly. And you can get fined for dropping litter there. :nonono:

Quite Right.

28th April 2002. There was me stuck in the middle of a bomb square in belshaft when the 'real' IRA tried to let off a huge fire bomb. Even though it was the end of April, it was fucking freezing and windy as fuck.

The paranoid twat in me says they do these retarded things with bins and all purely to annoy people so they can go galavanting around the world blowing folks up and the population will think "yeah, bastard terrorists". As I said in my OP.....terrorists rely on creating terror, deny them that and they'll find something else retarded to do with theit pathetic existences.

The English ruling classes again invented a red bull by the name of terrorism to keep the middle and lower classes in fear and order. Of course, what did you expect?

Now the very streets of dear London are caressed by the garbage wind. What an irony, from the Enlgish garden to a grim wasteland.

You remind me of a Slinky.... not very useful, but brings a smile to the face of many to push down the stairs.

On the grounds that he's getting himself very worked up that not everyone in the world agrees with him, therefore they must die, obvious really
