Nice one Jed. I'll certainly download it. Finally, my next show will be out on Sunday or Monday. If anyone wants to vote on their favourite tracks I've played in my shows so far, I'll be doing a Christmas Top 20 (a bit like the Festive Fifty) a week later. There are a few NOOL members who've been played, so you can vote for them. People are welcome to post here, PM me here, mail me at chris@alienacid.com, post on one of our Facebook pages, send a message on Myspace, etc. Plenty of options! I'll collate them and play them in order - 20 down to 1.
I'll post a list of tracks played here and elsewhere - they will include at least two Bass Bandits tracks, some Almanso, Glasnost, C Bentley, Razed In A New Division Of Agony, etc.

WOW, me like a lot. Bass sounds great. I really like the wrong bit with the vocoder in the middle, it's downright warped. Vocoder does something odd near the end of the first line of the chorus....sounds like the vocal and vocoder are a semitone apart, or something. And that's the least pleasant thing I can say about the whole track.

I honestly really likes it. I mean for one thing, there was stuff I'd never heard before.....bend/portamento on a vocoder carrier.....really really fuckin clever.

there's a bad frequency ringing on the 'coder, but you can probably notch it out with a tight Q EQ. And as I said....there's something not right happening in the chorus.
And that's the sum total of my Simon Cowelling.
Really liked the bass too....Hooky's style without copying his tonality....lovely. I always said his style should be considered valid bassplaying technique like slap or tap. Sounds like your plank's strung up with aircraft carrier anchor chains too.....I play strings that would be more at home on a guitar cos I'm a ponce.

I can't test cos it never worked from inside our firewall ( some security measure my wee bro, who, believe it or not, is the actual Alpha Geek round here, cooked up). If that comes up, try adding "/tunes" to the end of it, there may yet be some in there......if HTaccess to the directory still works....many many many ifs.

The bass by the way is just standard strings that came on it when I bought it, three years old and not a string change or set up since new, just a re tune every now and then, and it gets a bit of a hammering!

Well I could ask my bro to make sure the DNS entry for slightlynarrow actually points to out IP adress, and that the webserver is actually bothering to serve the site.
OR I could stick something up on megaupload or summat.....that's probably easier.

Thanks, i did catch your original post, don't know why you deleted it, it's a valid point. I'm sure it would have had a lot mote impact if it had been recorded in real world studios rather than my spare room! that does mean that NO might as well come round here to record their next album (like either of them are going to happen!)
