Please help James win the Absolute Radio Rock Off (pretty please!)

Hi guys,

I hope you don't mind visitors from other bands forums, and i hope i've posted this in the right section.

I'm a member of the James forum, and we've entered a competition run by Absolute Radio, where different forums enter a playlist and people vote for the best one.

We've got through two rounds, but now we're up against the might of the Pink Floyd forum, so i was wondering if you lovely New Order / Joy Division fans would help us out and vote for James.

the deadline for votes for this round is 8.30pm tonight (thursday 18th Dec).

If you check out our playlist you'll see that we've included She's Lost Control, so if we win, Joy Division will get played as well.

i'm glad you enjoyed the gig Ally, i saw them in camden at the proud galleries for a warm up gig, and at the B'ham N.I.A, both gigs were great. i'm looking forward to friday as i'll be seeing them in manchester for the first time, i think its always special seeing your favorite band on their home turf, i'll be at the front, so i think i might get a bit crushed but it'll be worth it.

I'm on the video of the Gmex gig doncha know. You can spot me a mile off as I was the only one not Sitting Down in three inches of gig water. Happy days.

(they weren't actually - I drank four cans of Special Brew then fell asleep on the train into town, developed a massive headache in the queue outside the GMex, had a row with my girlfriend before the band came on, dropped my programme in the gig water and fell on my arse in the snow when we were walking out. Never did see the programme again. Or my bird, for that matter. You never got that kind of problems with New Order.)

I'll have to check out my copy of that concert and see if i can spot you Diamond 383.

Pink Floyd are still beating us but we've got until 8.30 tonight so we might do it.

The playlists were decided by the whole forum, so its not what all of us would've picked but i still think it's more interesting to hear some stuff on the radio that isn't played to death rather than the usual obvious rock choices.

With ya Jarvo... at least Floyd had two kick ass albums, whereas James had... ummmm... a couple good songs

Final update.

We lost i'm afraid.

as the vote closed we were in the lead, but then the radio station said that Pink Floyd had won, so that's that.

It was fun though, and i got to say hello to some nice people.

The James forum are now voting for Green Day, because they were nice guys unlike the admin at the pink floyd forum who for some reason kept stirring up trouble between all the different forums. the rest of the guys on the pink floyd forum were alright though.

if your interested in voting on the next round (for whichever band) just use the same link as before.
