How did we all make out? Since first X-Mas with a wee baby (10 months), means fuck all to me what I get (rightly so), but I did manage to snag an IR controlled rechargable mini helicopter that's a bastard (but fun) to fly. Got some other nice odds & ends, and at risk of sounding like a materialistic twat, didn't get any New Order remasters and/or Guitar Hero World Tour gear (or an actual guitar).

My birfday is Jan 2nd, but it's usually more of a letdown than X-Mas :dead:

Either way, fun to watch my daughter play w/ her toys (and promptly get bored w/ them and play w/ her old ones).

For someone who spent the preceding several weeks saying he didn't want owt, or didn't know what he wanted, I did rather well. Lots of clothes and stuff, but my new best gadget friends are.......

O2 mobile modem. Works, just, in windows but is a pain. Works better in Linux, BUT has a tendancy to just refuse to appear when plugged in (something to do with it being a modem AND a memory stick (for it's own windows drivers). So, for now it's less than ideal, but it was a real geek's feast setting it up in Linux without any bundled software.

Dymo label maker. Brilliant....I have, honestly 25 different wall warts for external HD's and DVD's and steering wheels and USB audio gear and photoframs and laptops. I'm actually scared to tidy my wiring for fear of trying to match characterless black blobs to machines.....ever fuckin one of them's getting tagged.

Wind-up radio/lamp/power source...well....you never know.

A powerball, devilish little thing.

That and a few other bits and pieces I shall not bore you with.

I got the best capo in the world. I'm very pleased with it, it's a work of art.

Littleinoil got a very smart Scaletric and a 10,000 peice Lego oil rig. And a train set and a game for his Nintendo thing. Sadly, he's not been able to play with any of them so far - the grown-ups are still setting them up and testing them all. Spoilt little shit.

I got completely fucked on white wine last night, which I should know better than to do. I have a ridiculous hangover today.

The kids get the best presents. Me and the wife agree on spending on them and we get some strange knick knacks given from the kids. But with that being said, we do fget to inheret the kids gifts from time to time... such as the full Guitar Hero World Tour set and Nintendo DS lite

Elf Yourself

Not worth its own thread, most of you have probably seen it anyway.

Here's me and my mates getting on with a bit of festive barn dancing. Royser looks like that because someone just chucked vodka in his eye. Chris looks like that because he looks like that.

Had some fab gifts as usual - despite my Mum doing the 'I'm cutting down this year' routine - and managing to fill a carrier bag sized gift bag full of things for me!

She does that EVERY year.

Best of all though, my Son moved in with me last month after 10 very very difficult months apart; and I got to see my Daughter too at Xmas, without the usual 'cloak and dagger routine'.........so all in all, yes it was worth far more than anything else this Crimbo.

We need more details than that, you little tease!

Make? CPU? Graphics, if any? Infected with Vista?

Like the shirt.....based on the old Dr Who comics/anuals by the looks of the way Tom and the Daleks are drawn.

There was a kid's special on over Xmas, and some kid asked Russel T Davies what his fave story was.....and he said "The Ark in Space", and proceeded to INSIST that the kids should check it out.....brilliant.....lots of innocent minors exposed to Tom at his most insane, Sarah, Harry AND the Wirren.

Surely there's room for the Wirren in a new Dr adventure!

 Well, since everyone's on the flip-curious side...

Make? - Toshiba. CPU? - ?????????????????? Graphics, if any? - Yup. Not bad. I chose my own wallpaper though--didn't really want any pretty nighttime aurora borealis background. I'll settle with some Tom Baker. :D [Or Mr. Tennant in this case.] Infected with Vista? - Yup.

RTD insisting on AiS for children... oh my G... I'm not even gonna ask why...
