Anybody know how I could get a copy? Perhaps someone has a copy they wish to get rid of? It's driving me mad that I don't have this! lol

Try Vinyl Exchange; a reasonably good record shop based in Manchester.
In fact, the Gretton book is the first thing you see on their home page as a special offer.
You can order online and I believe they ship abroad...
The good news is they look like they still may have copies...the bad news is that it will cost about $65.00 Canadian to ship it ![]()

How much is that in real money?
I think it's about two of them thar pounds that you lot use...
Email info@1topclassmanager.co.uk and ask how much they will charge to ship it to you.
Tell them I sent you ![]()

True, my name is mud with them. But pushing a few more customers there way can only help matters, no?
I sent them an e-mail to find out if they had any left but no response. Answer your f*?#$ e-mail people!
Have you done something them to piss them off then?
I had no idea you can order from vinyl exchange online. I was going to do it when I got there.

No I was joking. That email address goes straight to the publisher. I'm sure you'll get a reply in due course. If not, let me know and I will get onto them.

Please can you let the UK know when you will be coming over, so we can arrange to be out visiting sick relatives ![]()
In case anyone's not seen it, there's a website too:
Crissy, I've ordered stuff from Vinyl Exchange several times and always been impressed by how they deliver. No substitute for standing in the shop flipping through the shelves though is it?
(I am quite proud of the fact that reworded that from some low-grade 'handling the merchandise' style double entendre smuttery. Do I win £40?)
'1 Top Class Manager - The Notebooks of Joy Division's Manager 1978-1980' is still available from the website below:

Bet you did! ![]()
They were 'hidden' in the envelope which formed your address (stuck on the actual parcel).
I didn't realise till OB mentioned it then went scrabbling through the bins when I got home.
It wasn't worth it though. :(

If you posted about this last month, you could have ordered it last month and sent it to my London address..I could have stuck in my suitcase and gave it to you when I came back to Toronto for the holidays..unfortunately, I'm heading back to London from Toronto tonight!
Got an email from them today - £15 anywhere in the world from the email address I posted.
Biginoil - not just there for the nasty things in life ![]()

I got an e-mail regarding shipping etc. today...thank you Diamond. I'm actually surprised that they still have copies left.

no you have to pay me £40 because you cleaned it up!
Crissy, you can't beat a good rummage around can you? Giving a few 12" beauties a spin, finding one you really like and then taking it home to play all night.
That better?
