Infinitely preferable to an evening in Krakow.

So, you've never travelled then?

Its quite a big problem though. Firstly, owing to cheap flights from provincial airports, the British working classes have practically invaded places like Bratislava, Tallinn, Prague etc. Obviously they are cretins at the best of times even in Britain stone cold sober, but with the mixture of very very potent alcohol, nubile Slavic girls and an inability to speak the language, quickly they become incoherent and obviously the local people get pretty riled.

Do you have any experience of this? Or evidence? Or examples? Or are you, as usual, talking utter shit?

We had a nice time in Krakow. We got on well with the local people we did meet and nobody seemed to mind us spending money there.

It rained a bit, mind you

So, yet again, you fail to answer a straight forward question?

very 2001. it's been ruined by people who still think they're on a works do in their provincial market town. respect the locals. stag do's are now either Vegas-bound credit card killers or retro tied-to-a-lampost-naked stripper-in-a-pub cheapos. my mate Tinny shagged a dwarf ( or a midget ) in Prague on a stag do. never to be topped.

These days the stag nights are the best behaved, compared to the hennies.

I thought the paras had moved in to Blackpool when I took my son there before Christmas. Turned out it was a hen night from Burnley who'd started early.

What IS it with you and class? Do you live in Victorian Engerland, and post through a wormhole?

Basically, according to you, anyone who's done a single honest day's work in their lives is scum, as opposed to the "professional" types presumably, lawyers, advertisers, consultants etc etc etc, who get paid 20 times the wage to do fuck all but scam the money off those who earned it. Eg, in a 10 year period ending sometime around the turn of the millenium (that's 2001 for those who can't count), the number of nurses (less than a tenner an hour, hard working: scum) in the NHS had decreased by 25% and the number of managers (25 quid an hour or rather it WOULD be if they actually DID 40 hours so more like 50 quid, worthless layabouts interferin with the actual business of healing the sick: Salt of Mansour's Earth), increased 400% Hmmmmmm doesn't look like it's the "working classes" who've destroyed the NHS does it?

For my own part, I'd say the non-working classes are by far the more irksome. Though they are FAR fewer in number than the Daily Fail would have it's disciples believe, they DO exist, I've met them.

So if the working classes are such insufferably oiks, do you empty your own bins, fix your own car, generate your own electric, take care of your own post operative care? (that's for when you FINALLY have the operation to remove you head from your fucking arsehole).

Do you follow a guide or something? "Trolling for Dummies"? Rule 17: If asked a direct question, change the subject. If repeatedly asked the same question, give a fudgie answer which makes little sense in the original context and claim it as a victory.

Steve Campbell, see I wasn't alone in my understanding of England. Yes, it is STILL a very divided class society. Nothing has changed, apart from the fact that young working class people are allowed to be in the high class industry on the premise they'll bring money to their bosses, that is, by selling theit bodies or brains.

Clearly the Doctor is absolutely obsessed with class. The fact is that its a nationality problem not a class one. But usually it is working class types that are drawn to E. Europe and mostly with lower intellect comes a greater vulnerability to stay rational under severe intoxication. Generally the British as a whole in all classes are embarrassment abroad.

Perhaps, but these days it's more nurture than nature. Kids from scummy housing estates go on to work in ad agencies (and neglect to kill themselves for the good of the species), and bank managers' kids go on to work a till in Asda.

Of course there are monied wretches who think they are better than everyone, but it's nothing like as bad as it is in say....Jesusland.

The UK is not populated by cloth capped thick fucks who dig holes, bowler hatted bankers and Lords of the manor who strut round all day in their 75 year old military uniform. It is NOT the "Class sketch" from the Frost Report.

And I will only say this once more (and then again and again).

England ! UK UK ! England

(! in it's computing sense of "is not equal to").

Not bad as a flame bait, but I think any rational human being reading what we've both written would possibly conclude that it may be you who is not only obsessed with class, but also unbelievably full of shit about it.

I bet you believe in phrenology don't you....."oh yes, no wonder she has 15 kids, I can feel a strong bump of philoprogenitiveness".

Can't argue your last sentence though.

I'm hearing you, it's not the same. But then when everything changes, why does the English Queen not dismiss such a parasitic institution as English aristocracy and remove all priviliges from lords and viscounts?? What really keeps this cicrcus of titles going on?

Because she has no power (beyond, theoretically being able to stop the country going to war). You've got this all wrong. Saurkraut Liz is not a ruler, she is a tourist attraction. She is disneyland (and cheaper to run). Her cheif function is to extract cash from fat retarded septics, and to cause Japanese tourists to get RSI from operating cameras.

But anyway, you are again labouring under the misaprehension that this is 1740. I do not graze my sheep on common land and raise my crops on His Lordship's paying him half my crop for the privilege.

I've had enough......someone else can continue to beat their heads against your brain.

That's actually a funny sketch. But again it only emphasizes how class issue is important in England. Plus if you read any English biography, it always starts with what class the depicted person came from.

The whole class thing is fairly overblown. Nurses and factory workers are exploitative capitalists just like anyone else. With free market competition standards inevitably rise and overall everybody benefits. Certain people will just always have a higher value to them.

So you're not concerned with class at all? You're about the only one on here who mentions it at all.

What class am I, then? Would you say? And how does that affect the things I do to relax?

What class are you?

Nonsense, I've eaten loads of British beef, and it did me no harm. Then again, I AM Napolean so that's OK.

I don't think "Dave Earnshaw" will be around here much longer anyway as Spotnick is definitely aware that he is the same individual who was banned from these forums in mid-December. The odds of this alias account being active much longer are slim.

I think the best thing people can do is completely ignore him... he only responds to what he wants to anyway. Basic questions such as "how do you back that comment up" or "where do you get your facts from" etc are often passed by.
