Saw this on the telly earlier. Fucking genius. Stupid, selfish and wildy irresponsible genius, but genius nevertheless.

Level crossings are Darwin's little helpers. A fabulous way to remove the "rules are for others, I'm too cool" type from our society.
The best one was the bint last year or the year before who drove right past flashing red lights and klaxons into a "field" because her sat nav told her to. Once in the field, although struck by how extermely short it was, while being very very wide and having large paralell metal structures down it, she decided to sit there long enough for a train to come and flatten her....it was on a preserved railway too, not the fucking ECML, so the train approached at no more than 25mph and, being steam, made something of a fuss of it's arrival.
They should remove all the level crossing gates and fit trains with those cow-catchers the loco's in Westerns have. That should sort out the problem.
Reminds me of a story from home a few years ago.
A bloke I vaguely knew about two years below me in school had a ruck with his girlfriend resulting in them splitting and in his anguish he bizarrely drove his car full tilt at a stone wall near a railway crossing. This must've been around New Year. Anyway, he smashed through onto the track but the train was thankfully stopped well before any collision could happen.
He died of his injuries later in hospital I think; a tragedy for his family but what a fucking idiot for placing innocent lives even remotely at risk.
Total waste of life.
