Most F1 teams are based in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Over half of the WRC teams are based in GB.
So, who are your "favourite" teams and drivers?
Being a follower of Uncle Henry, I cheer for Jaguar in F1 and Ford in WRC.
cant get me head round "interesting" F1.. how anyone can label it a sport its beyond me.. its more of a rich mans plaything, its not exactly accessable to do if you fancy a go is it?

WRC stands for World Rally Championship. One of your own countrymen, Carlos Sainz, is a great driver of the Ford Focus WRC 02.

While one can't just "get a ride" with a F1 team, there are many other ways to participate in motorsports. One could get into open wheel racing for a relatively small sum. Here in the States, you could get into a Formula Vee racer for about $4k (US). While that sounds like a lot of coin, think about what people spend (total) on their hobbies.

"Open wheel" references a vehicle type that has all four wheels exposed, which means without fenders. F1 and Indy Cars are usually refered to as "open wheel".
Formula Vee is a class designation within the Sports Car Club of America. It refers to cars that are constructed of similar chassis and wheels with specified, "sealed" (meaning no modifications are allowed) Volkwagen sourced engines. They are "open wheel" racers with areodynamic bodies similar to what you might find in F1. The powerplants produce a little over 50 horsepower, but are very quick because they weigh very little.
The purpose of this class is to provide an economical way for folks to go racing while emphasizing driver skill over the size of his pocketbook.
Massive fan of F1 - Michael Schumacher has always been my favourite, before him I always enjoyed watching Nigel The Tash Mansell, and the classics between Senna & Prost!

I'm a Minardi man myself. I follow a lot of the lower formulae over here (Thruxton and Brands Hatch are both within an hour of my house) and always thought Mark Webber was cool. I was made up when he got a point in his first GP.
F1 has got a bit boring over the last 10 - 15 years, with either McLaren, Williams or Ferrari taking turns to dominate. You still get the odd exciting race, though.
Michael......Jaguar ain't going nowhere! Especially with Eddie Irvine squshed into the cockpit!
