Do any of you folks here use Twitter? I know, kind of pointless, right? Anyway, I use it more for a news/media feed and the occasional anecdote from certain people I'm following. Anyway, if you have an account, I can be found at Thrashingtiger.

I thought it was meant to be all up-to-the-second.
I just signed up, and something caught my eye, a poll on the bbc about whether people pronounced Moog to rhyme with Vogue or whether they werre fucking spastics who deserve death. Went to BBC to vote.....the story isn't there, checked archive back to Xmas.....not there...USELESS!!!!!!!!!
The fact that Twitter exists, and the fact that I think it's ridiculous, makes me feel good about my own dependence on instant and other electronic messaging.
Which is saying something.
Twitter, Facebook, Myspace etc......It's all for internet grooming and looking up ex-burds right?

I set up a twitter account yesterday but wish i hadnt bothered. its like using facebook just to see peoples status. so has no photos, games, mindless drival that facebook shamelessly offers.
really cant see the point. if people use it to see how many times jonathan ross has a dump in a day, then i say this.

Depends on what you use it for, my twitter group informed me there's a Ring Necked Duck and a Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, loads more besides. Bugger all of note in Yorks today.
i set up a profile a while ago,still cant fathom out how to use the fookin thing tho!
I set up an account a while back to receive updates to my phone. I was told it was a good way to keep tabs on friends out and about. Like I would text 40606: "I'm at Smartbar" and then the people following would be like "cool, see you there". But i get twitter texts about friends waiting for the bus, doing laundry, grocery shopping, etc... The worst is when people begin to have conversations over twitter, so you get like 20 texts about random shit you can care less about. I can easily set it so I don't receive texts anymore or set it up so only a few people can send twitter texts but i'll give it one more weekend before giving up on it.
