Recently watched his 'Is It Bill Bailey?' TV series from the 90's again, after downloading on torrent.

Apparently it's never been repeated. It was gonna be repeated on 'Dave' last year but even they pulled it.

Shame, cos he has a truly unique sense of humour.

I can honestly say Al that I am going to this based on the clip someone put up on these boards ( possibly Cambo ) wherein he rips the piss out of U2's Edge.

Other than that my knowledge of him is either from his film cameos or the Never mind the Buzzcocks show.

as an aside went to see Simon Amstell (never mind the buzzcocks host) last year at The Lowry and he was bloody impressive, very sharp and good with hecklers too, I was surprised 'cos I'd assumed he was reliant on a pure script and re-takes.

so I'm looking forward to it, in the meantime I'll see what I can get hold of re: Baileys other work, I'll start with the one you've mentioned.

cheers Jarvo:thumb:

I keep meaning to wander past the shop which featured in 'Black Books'.

Sad I know, but I googled it once and know exactly where it is, but still haven't gone out of me way to look at it. It's near ULU. The amount of times I've been drinking round there and then next day, thought, "Doh, should've gone and seen it last night!".

I downloaded all of them an all Al, a wee bit hit and miss and I'm a big fan of BB. He's a massive KW fan, we bumped into him at their Brixton shows

Mr Macca, will have a word with the missus and see if she's up for a trip to the wild west, would be good to meet up for a couple of refreshments :thumb:

sounds good fella, had to pick the Tuesday cos I know I aint got commitments for that night, I know I'm working for a few days from the tenth and I know I'm working the Oarsis gigs up here the week afore, so timing wise I'll be ready for some entertainment on the Tuesday...... it's cheaper too. Good times.

I'm glad someone else has said that, my brother swears it's real, i tried to explain to him that it was mimed and each so called string (beam) of the laser harp seems to play about 10 different notes, all complete shite.

as for laser harping your cock, well, I know your into your techy gadgets, but that's going too far.

ah well, another time amigo..... though that explains why the good shopkeepers of the Trafford Centre were crying today. Obviously the news that mrs Shug wont be visiting them on June 9 has hit them hard.

the bar near the venue (Lime bar) woulda provided me with a wee bit o entertainment too, no the kinda prices you'd appreciate mi amigo......

on the off chance you'da got them in that is:brow:

Class. Always fancied one, never had the guts. Keep dad the fuck away from it though

I suppose A' Levels are no help at all with learning, writing, recording.

Don't worry, I'm sure the auld boy will have him humanely destroyed at the merest hint of that condition.[1]

Besides, being a self righteous whining cunt is probably genetic, so he should be OK.

[1] EDIT: on reflection, I doubt that being bludgeoned with and impaled upon an electric contrabass actually falls within the definition of "humanely" anything......but if he WERE turning into Sting, he'd still be getting off light if you ask me.

So far I've just been going into Dawsons in Manchester and pretending I want to buy it.. then just messing around on it for like a half hour. But I really want one. Purely because I love this man's work when he plays one:
