Back in the day when i was an apprentice,me anf one of the labourers got sent up to finish off a chimney breast and pour the concrete coping,as it was a beautiful summer morning,we decided to have a spliff on the roof before we started, well one spliff led to another, then another etc..and before we knew it,it was tea time,we climbs back down to our hut,in walks the gaffer "how ye's getting on with that chimney?" he enquired...
What fuckin chimney!
In our enjoyment of getting stoned on a beaut of a morning,we'd forgotten all about it ![]()

I believe the HSE (unelected facists) say you cannot CLIMB a ladder when shitfaced.....they were already up :D
Actually, if people actually enforced the no ladders when hammered rules, there would be no concerts ever again.....you EVER seen a roadie or rigger who didn't look utterly spannered?
Chimney breasts look so much bigger when yer pissed.. and the thought of going anywhere near a geeky computer is

all the time nowadays Cambo, whilst it's true some folk need a little 'bump' to give them a lift after 12 hours, there just aint the scope for someone to be wankered and functioning, and still employed.
got back into this after a 20 year gap and was amazed at the changes.
last incident of crew wankered I encountered was at V-fest last year, local crew lad who was there to do the load-out was so fookin pissed they had to fuck him off. now it wasn't the production manager or promoter who did this, it was his own boss, he knew this lads behaviour may fook up his next sub-contract.
time and a place nowadays. that said, still some amazing after-shows and the legendary ClubScum, which will be familiar to anyone who's been backstage at Move festival and subsequent trafford cricket club gigs up to last years radiohead n REM gigs

and brilliant for makin toast on a fork
none of that marshmallow shite mind
and kinda stayin on topic, the Taj Hotel in Boston has a fireplace butler.
they have a menu of logs ( we chose cedar )
after a day of fookin about on Boston common or whatever, phone yer butler and order a flaming brazier of rare timber. give him some notice o course.
return to hotel room and enjoy with room service dinner or a Bushmills.
decadent? hell no
decadence is when you use the services of the bath butler and his array of fine smelling bubble baths, and I personally thought that was just being fookin lazy
