Cheerz ma good friends! :) .... believe it or not me and Charley been agonisin' over what names to give the bairn whether it's a girl or a boy... Our little Gemmi (Amy, but we call her that cos she's a little jewel y' knaa?) keeps wishin' for a little brother! She nevva stops asking us.... but ah'm so glad Gemmi's bein' so good aboot it an' all - she's an absolute pearl!

In reply to your question Mickey Rocker, ah just been real busy with all the preparations an' stuff... managed to at least afford meself (with a coupla me best mates) a great weekend in Blackpool just this last Saturday an' Sunday catchin' up on loads of old PUNK and SKIN / OI! bands like The Exploited, UK Subs, The Business, Anti-Nowhere League and of course The DEAD KENNEDYS - fookin' fantastic time we all had.... and what's even more unbelievable was, we found out later that Marty was there with his own band (he did a write-up of the Sunday on his own forum), but we never managed to meet up an' missed each other completely simply cos there were so many punters there - something like over 5,000 punks and skins - what a bummer.....but a fookin' brilliant weekend nevertheless, ah'm tellin' ya! :) :)

Still, like ah said, that's all the fun for the time bein', now it's gettin' down to the nitty gritty of linin' the nursery ready for darlin' number two.... an' ah'm gettin' nervous that's fer sure! Ah'll try an' pop in now and then, just to keep yer all informed! ;)

what were dead kennedys like without JB.. who sings?

Ah....it was reet weird ah can tell ya - at the beginnin' we were really suspect aboot the whole idea of the Kennedys reformin' withoot the Mighty Biafra.... a new guy called BRANDO CRUZ - a bit younger obviously - took his place.....and the fookin' weird thing was, he actually carried it off okay! Of course, no one could ever match Jello, but this new bloke did a respectable job of it.....I mean, their performance was no less intense - the whole set was like 500 miles an hour! They must have done aboot 18 songs in 75 minutes or summat - including their "hits".... The crowd went bananas man! Klaus Flouride was so grey he looked like he was some refugee from Wire! We all had a greet time tho! It was definitely worth it...! :)

Next Easy Sprog will be called Helena. I'm not allowed to call her Crystal :) Though if it's a boy he gets called Barney (or Bernard Stephen Peter).

Spookily enough the missus' nephew has the last name on each of those lists, if that makes sense. He was named after St. Michael, Miranda being his surname.

How about the name Kimberly, if it is a girl?  People for some odd, strange reason tell me what a beautiful name it is! It was quite popular in the 70's but isn't being used as often anymore. As for boy names, I like the name Riley Scott, and for girls I like the name McKenna Marie! That is always the fun and stressful part of a new child. When we had my daughter Ashley Elaine, I had that name picked for her, and my husband wanted to name her Morgan Rose. He was deadset on naming her that until he looked at her and said that she looked like an Ashley! I am so excited for you and Charley. Good luck! Make sure you let us know when your bundle of joy gets here!:\party:

Well Kimberly, my sister named her daughter Riley, so that name seems to work for females as well.

Well me jolly folkies, it seems that over the past few days we've suddenly been brainstormin' like there's no tomorrow and the respective lists of names have snowballed somethin' rotten - with a few new suggestions takin' the place of a few we've now discarded!!!!

This is how the list now appears .....

Boy's names - Alex, Thomas, Shaun / Sean, Iain, Anthony, Joseph, Mark, Cameron, Ewan / Ewen, Adam, Daniel, Ben, Kyle, Joel, Owen....

Girl's names - Emma, Katie, Gaby, Samantha, Zoë, Toni / Antonia, Adele, Kirsty, Alicia, Siobhan, Chloe, Crystal (!!!!), Sarah, Anne-Marie, Danielle, Lisa-Anne, Sarah-Anne, Jennifer, Helena, Miranda....

....crikey!!....someone wake me up when it's over!

Cameron and Ewan are ye mad? - sounds like some Snobby Scottish Masons name - fuck me Hubertinio sort it aaaaght - next you'll be thinking of Frasier and Campbell as acceptable names:lol: For your sake I hope it's a girl - that list looks ok, apart from Miranda - far too easy to take the piss outa that name;)

don't pay any attention - I'm just bored matey:thumb:

Quite right too....ah've also noticed that we've put in quite a few Irish names there then - ah suppose that was inevitable cos I am part-descended from an Irish clan as well and I presently have an Aunt and Uncle livin' just ootside Dublin ... ;)

alicia? are you serious? i hated that name for the longest time. oh well. hey do you know any alicias? ;)

chloe is a nice name. why don't you try Evan for a boy's name. oh, i'm bad, i'm making it harder for you now

what i would do is choose a name that isn't REALLY popular. think what it would do if your named your kid david and he walks in a room full of davids? try that, it should shorten the list somewhat.

Ye have ta bear in mind that not all of these choices are mine darlin' - Charley suggests half of the list as well - ah already drew the line at Damien for obvious reasons...! It's always ganna be a matter of personal preference.... But then ageen...it could all change once more tomorra!! ;)

Shite - ah really must get ta bed noo - too many late neets aal of a sudden...

AVOID ALL BOYS NAMES BEGINNING WITH D - I had a naughty boys class once where almost all the boys had D names: Danny (x2), Daniel, Donald, Deniz (Turkish Dennis), Dwayne. The others were 2 Jamie's and a James. Years of experience tell me that Dannys are the most naughty, although most Daniels are OK :chainsaw: :computer2: :evil3:

This is how lessons were with 8a4

After much debate and deliberation - and still even more sleepless nights - jeez, Aa might need ta get pissed even more often! - we have now decided to ditch the following names:

Boy's - Cameron, Ewan / Ewen, Daniel, Ben, Kyle, Owen, Clinton, Damien, Mark, Jonathan

Girl's - Gaby, Zoë, Adele, Kirsty, Alicia, Chloe, Crystal, Sarah, Danielle, Miranda

...but the agony continues.....oh maaan.....

Well I quite liked Ewan but Charley thought it was more McColl (the late Kirsty's also late father) than McGregor, so that one had to go.... Ben was another one - but then it's short for Benjamin which I don't like cos it's got too many syllables and sounds too toffish.... Kirsty and Miranda were the two girls names I wanted to keep cos one of them rhymes with verandah and the other with thirsty...... ;)

so what are you down to? are you gonna name it after someone or just trying to find one that sounds good. kristy hubert. ben hubert. ewan hubert (nah, that sounds silly) anyways, i'm sure you'll find something. good luck.
