Cool! I Love Hockey! We have an amateur hockey team here in Idaho, and yes they suck, but the games are still fun to go to. Maybe someday I will get to go to a Detroit Redwings game. :D
Nah, Hockey Town isn't Detroit, it's Montréal :D
Alright, no fights, we can't fight against the US currency... ;)

I thought Quebec City was hockey town?!?!?!?!
Is it true if a fight errupts in ice hockey, that its allowed to go on until the fighters fall to the ground ?
What I find more interesting is that Ireland has a National hockey team: http://www.iiha.org/
As for the fighting thing, that's not necessarily the rule, it depends how hard they are going at it. The refs don't want to get beat in the face trying to break it up so they usually wait until there's a brief pause in the punches being thrown, and sometimes that's when someone gets knocked down.

Not really... it's allowed to go until both are obviously too tired and can harm themselves.
Fights are part of the sports, there are people who wants it to be banned, others who love it.. as far as I'm concerned, I don't mind it.
Let's say there is a lot less than in the 1970's, and they are done by players with that job, not very skilled players, so it can be eliminated if you want quite easily.

Not at all. Quebec City is a good hockey town, even if they lost their team to Colorado (because Quebec City is quite a "small" market, there is 500 000 people living in the city)..
The real hockey town is Montréal, with 23 Stanley Cups, the whole history, and everything.. and it's just been announced that Montréal is the place the first origanized games was played.
But any place of the original 6 teams of the NHL is a hockey town... (Montréal, Toronto, Detroit, Boston, Chicago and New York)... except that in Canada, well, it's our sport, so it's always been bigger than anything else, our team has the same impact the Cowboys have in Dallas...! (or the Manchester United in Manchester)
