Chris Packham's Springwatch Smiths Songtitle Bingo

Anyone watching Springwatch?

Chris Pakham must have been bet that he can't get a Smiths songtitle into every episode, and so far he's succeeding.

He talked about the worldwide decline of bees, and what happens once The Queen Is Dead, and whilst we looked at some Reed Warbler chicks feeding he mentioned that it was clearly a case of Bigmouth Strikes Again.

Best one so far was a couple of nights ago when he said to Kate Humble that You Just Haven't Earnt It Yet, Baby - she genuinely didn't know what to say.

Yep, I'm watching.

Kate Humble is totally oblivious to what's going on. She's obviously not a Smiths fan!

When I was at Southampton Uni, two of my then 'mates' claims to fame was putting Chris Packham into intensive care.

We used to play the word game in work, we'd write out a list of unlikely looking words or phrases....Each had to be used on a call, so I'd have to do the first word, the person beside me the second and so on as calls came in. I did VERY well at it, my crowning glory was being presented with "Mall Rats", I threw caution to the wind and when the next call came in "Good Mall Rats, thank you for calling.........".....drunk Welshman on the other end never batted an eyelid (we have videophones, natch).

BTW.....anyone who has the Art of Noise Hammersmith video....check out the credits, one of the backing singers is called "Katie Humble", and there is on that bears a tiny resemblance to her....and if anyone remembers when Ms Humble first appeared on TV, she was often called "Katie". It would be TRULY bonkers if it was her.

Nope, no lie. He managed to get 'Vicar In a Tutu' in when he was referring to a Great Bustard! He said something along the lines of 'it looks like a vicar in a tutu'

I always try to get a Shakespeare quote into every meeting I attend. I normally manage it, despite only having read a couple of his plays.

Personal best was asking an oil company manager and his assistant "when will we three meet again?". Another time I pointed at someone in a safety meeting and said "carry his water to the wise woman".

I don't get invited to many meetings these days
