Anyone else watching this? Was never a League of Gentlemen fan but thought I'd give this a go.
Think it's excellent thus far. The way it cuts from character to character every minute or so helps it flow nicely. Half an hour seems to pass way too quickly with such a format.

Enjoyed it myself as well, even watched the 2nd episode.
I thught the lad living with his mother was a bit 'err' tho 
It's brilliant, really impressed with the first two eps. I was a big fan of TLOG but I think Psychoville is showing signs of being even better......

Yes, felt a bit uncomfortable about that one myself. I'll definitely be tuning in again though (even though clowns terrify me).

Distinct lineage though, with the clown characters, and Dawn French is so Pauline.
Even though there's only two eps so far it kicks the shit out of the third LoG series not to mention the pile of steaming dung that was the "movie". It would appear that after years in the wilderness doing bit parts on crappy ITV1 dramas etc at least Steve and Reece have had the sense to return to doing what they do best.
A cameo from Pauline screaming "worthless dole scum" whilst obsessing over biros would be class but failing that there's no reason why the new characters couldn't become equally as memorable.
It's even done something I once thought impossible... generated a genuine laugh at Dawn French.

And the third series of LoG was made in turmoil, the movie to generate cash.
The cast have made shitloads of cash out of writing I understand, particularly Mark Gatiss, who wrote lots of Dr Who's. Shame he isnt involved in this..
Always thought Reece was the lesser talented though.
I dunno if Ep2 has been aired on TV yet but just t*rrent anything related to Psychoville and you'll find it soon enough. P'rhaps the Beeb repeating it's "watch the next episode on BBC3 now" policy it's done with a few shows over the years.
Looking back, I found the LoG movie a proper let down at the time. It seemed to me to be either something beyond my artistic comprehension or just complete and utter bollocks. They took the League and destroyed it so completely... it's a nice relief to see something like Pyschoville appear and - so far - seem quite good.
I think Gatiss wrote an early Eccleston-era Dr Who episode and I remember it as being very good, quite dark and borderline scary. I'm sure Cambo has the details. The living dead in Victorian Cardiff or something along those lines.
They are very talented guys, no doubting that.

Was struggling to remind myself i wasn't watching a new series of League Of Gentlemen which i was fan of. Hopefully that will pass as the series goes on and it will come into its own. BBC3 did show the 2nd episode straight after but i didn't watch it. Will tune to the BBC2 showing this Thursday though.

Though, to be fair, episode 2 did open with a "Previously on Psychoville" type montage, like what they do on seemingly every US TV series.

S'posed to be a pastiche on Alfred Hitchcock's "Rope".
Same as "Rope", it was made to look as it was shot in one continuous take. I actually watched it again to see if I could spot where they would've edited it together.
That "Superman" bit was proper laugh out loud.

Watched this on iPlayer last night: very good. Now I want to see Rope.
I could caught one edit point, although I wasn't concentrating very hard. How many did you see?
