Festivals........

T In't Park.......never been but looking at the jugulations on display, it might be worth a trip next year.....

.......been to Glasto a couple of times which is said to be the best......think there are too many Jeremys and Jemimas in Hunters....... but the chaps up in Scotland seem to really enjoy it with a little bit more spirit....????

.......Last 3 years we've done Solfest in north Cumbria.......about 8000 folk this year and it's a gud un.....anyone else going this year....prob not.....but its worth a punt at 80 notes.......

Its true that T in park is always a bloody good line up,but mainly scots there of course .i am going for glastonbury next year,its the big daddy of course.yet again this year tried to get to 'glastonbudget',its cut price and all tribute bands and only 45 pound to boot.latitude always seems to have a good line up and comedy tent etc,but the most awkward place to get to on earth!!!.get to bingley,whats the past one called again Alf,ermm DEEPLY VALE,yea thats it

hate 'em having said that... the ony 2 i've been to were top donington 1992 was interesting. a girl fell asleep on my shoulder during Slayer's set ( right at the front) it pissed it down for skid row , then stopped( as if by magic) for iron maiden took my brother to Wacken in Germany for his 30th birthday. it's a cliche , but Teutonic efficiency ruled. crackin the flags 30c, heavy metal karaoke, a big van with keys like in swimming pools so you could store yer stuff, have a mosh , then collect it late, 1 liter glasses of proper german lager!, 2 stages, so 10 minutes between each act, who'd a thought i'd have respect for Children of Bodum great live act,and Ronnie James Dio doing an amazing greatest hits live set .Rainbows "man on the silver mountain" was awesome

DEEPLY VALE!!!......I'm too young to remember it but knew Jimmy one of the organisers........there was talk of putting it on again recently but then it all went quiet.......funny in that I was talking to father in law about it the other day......he was a copper on duty for it......said he never seen anything like it.....

.......it was moved to Pickup Bank near Darwen in '81 i think......I remember cos I lived right on the top of Grane then and I remember all the hippy buses convoying past one afternoon and thinking 'what a bunch of scruffy twats!'........as i stood there in me fred perry and crew cut..... :D......I was cool when I was 9 you know...... .....

One going on about a third of a mile from my house just now. Had to shut the windows last night to get to sleep, it's like having them in your garden. All the currently popular Dutch bands .. couldn't be bothered going. My experience with festivals isn't that good :(
