Windows 7 - Doctor

I have a new PC, quad core, 4gb of Ram with two 500gb hard drives running Windows 7 evaluation.

It is 10,000 times better than vista.

What are your views of Windows 7 Doc?

Not tried it yet, don't trust it's as-yet-half-arsed installer not to cunt up my existing OS's (XP32Pro and Vista64Ultimate). I hear windows 7 is basically Vista2.0, sort of a tolerable version of vista with about half the bugs and at least a third of the soul destroying annoyances silenced. For me, the only thing I care about, the thing that has stopped me using vista for any longer than it takes to play a game and reboot......will windows 7 leave my fucking hard disc alone for 5 seconds, ever, because Vista sure as fuck wont.

Sounds like quite a machine mate, what video card is in it? Must say I'm surprised anyone is flogging PC's with an evaluation windows on it, though I suppose it beats pishta.

How much did it set you back? Did you get a trailer load of other unneeded shite with it (plastic speakers, shite mousemat, free DSDD floppies etc etc)

Cost £540 has a 256mg graphics card.

My old pc could take a 4 hours to render 1hours worth of video captured and to burn a dvd in Pinnacle, with this baby it took 10 mins the other day.

I didnt have any crap software , monitor, keyboard etc, just the beasty itself
