Im being made redundant from my company at the end of the year. Only found out yesterday but quite relieved. Been here 8 years and need a new challenge.
After years of doing boring accounts work Im wondering if I should be bold and try a new career path. Ideas Im floating are stand up comic, sound engineer, recording artist, photographer, or inventor (but dont know what).
No doubt Ill fall back into the safe accounts role but even thats not certain with dire economics and high unemployment.
I was wondering what redundancy has meant for others in recent times. Maybe youve gone for (and getting) the dream job, travelled, taken courses, applied for big brother, worked abroad, or been unemployed.
cheers NO Regret
