He's just upset because his country has only managed to come up with endless variations of "slightly brain damaged with varying degrees of intoxication and genetic redundancy", instead of the miriad of fabulous accents the British Isles have cooked up.
As for clarity...there's a few accents from the arse end of the other bit of Ireland that could baffle anyone from more than 2 miles down the road from their home. Geordies can be tricky depending on just how pissed they are, the same with some Scots (particularly from the fair city of Glassgow). However, last night I spoke to a Stokie, and as far as I could tell, his accent was Martian (actual native Martian, not Hungarian)......I swear I could understand Fradley quite well up until a certain blood alcohol level, and I MUST have spoken with many others, but me and this fella could NOT communicate, very very strange indeed, especially since I had me posh phone voice on, the one with "you" and "the" instead of "Y'" and "'a'".
eg....." I shall see you in the pub in ten minutes"...."Al c y' inna bar in ten"
