Does the Flight of the Conchords show in your area? Great show, with the best song parodies. Anybody ever see them live?

Is this the one that was shown here on BBC4?
If so,its as funny as a kick in the baws,
sorry, just couldnt get into it ![]()
"inner city pressure" is genius, the rest, mediocre bbc3 fare. not as clever as it thinks it is. but not as bad as horne and condom. the two best characters, the stalker g/f fan and the shit manager should be given their own show.
First - thanks for putting this up here! I love it! Second - it's NZ humour, what do you expect? Third - this is a very dry humour, and it's not made for the cheap laughter. It causes thinking and then laughing.
I lived in NZ for a while, and this show actually helped me a lots to understand the people there. Hopefully they continue with there show, I would appreciate it. I never saw them playing live, but whenever they would come to eastern OZ, I would go there. A hilarious time for me would be guaranteed.
Go and get the shows on DVD, or - how it's mentioned on one of those funny NZ posters in the show - "don't expect too much, you'll love it!"
cheers,

First series was very good although i hadn't seen it until recently when i watched it all in one sitting on demand. Waiting for the second series to show on bbc2 because i didn't catch the bbc3 showings

Thought the second series was better than the first. There's one episode called, I think, "Unnatural Love" where Jermaine sleeps with an Aussie bird. It's got every stereotypical joke you've ever heard about Australians in it, and then some.
I love it when their accents are misunderstood. Like when they thought Brett was "dead" and everyone else was saying "Brett did what?"
Murray's the best thing in it though.
Am I the only person who just has to fast-forward through all the songs? I can't stand them!
i like the songs. The sellotape song on the first series was great.
"Lives are like retractable pencils If you push them too hard they’re gonna break And people are like paper dolls Paper dolls and people, they’re a similar shape Hmm hmm hm hmm
[Brett] Love is like a roll of tape It’s real good for making two things one
[Jermaine] But just like the roll of tape Love sometimes breaks off before you were done
[Brett] Another way that love is similar to tape That I’ve noticed Is sometimes it’s hard to see the end
[Together] You search on the roll (search on the roll) Search on the roll (searching round the roll) Search on the roll (search)
[Together] With your finger nail Again and again And again and again
[Jermaine] And again...
[Brett] Whoa, whoa
[Together] Brown paper, white paper Stickin' together with the tape The tape of love The sticky stuff"

You also need to listen carefully if a woman wants to show you "six" eggs in a supermarket...
