A decent broadcaster imo.
I dont really understand the flac he is getting??? Wogan usually sent me to sleep on the morning commute. Evans is certainly much better than Chris Moyles.

I listen to Radio Two occasionally. I've always liked all their presenters, namely Wogan and Steve Wright.
I think Chris Evans is a great choice as a replacement and can't think of anybody else who could fill Wogie's shoes.
Chris Evans offers nothing more than any other bland, full of shit commercial radio station presenter. He's dreadful. Wogan has something totally unique in radio presenting. His breakfast show is hilarious. The innuendo laden Janet and John stories are funny as feck.
I'm not saying Chris Evans is anywhere near as witty, or as much of an institution as Wogan, but I have always liked his chirpy banter. I'm sure he'll pull plenty comedy out of the bag. I'm also sure that Radio Two Listeners will be divided for a long time.

Prefer Ken Bruce who's on after him ![]()
Pop Pop PopMasterrr!
aye Ken Bruce is ace. And Jeremy Vine's midday show has stimulating debates every day.Thinking about buying Ken Bruce's new autobiograhpy.
I'm a Radio 2 fan in general, for a variety of reasons. Mildly interesting debate going on here.I like Terry Wogan, always have.. Nevertheless,it's quite straightforward..
Chris Evans is a tit,and Moyles is a scruffy daft cunt.
Get Janice Long in from the graveyard shift to do the muthafucka,if Mark Radcliffe won't.
Janice is ever so personable, knowledgeable, charming and most importantly, she knows her stuff and plays some good tunes..Job's right with her.

Yeah him too. I like his crac.
Chris Evans seems to be one these media darlings, who can do no wrong and has the wedge, profile, influence, favour and grace to buy his way into a peerage..He'll be the Earl of Shitford in the House of Lords one day..
He might be a steady blerk in real life, fucked if I care..
What I've noticed about all his radio shows is that all his back up team are just arse crawlers.Just props whose job it is to crawl right up his ginger shitter...piss poor cringeworthy, puke, abhorrent, weasel bullshit all over the gaff IMO.

True though.
This is the most important thing I have had to say all day ![]()
Terry Wogan in a morning is fab - I remember (I really do) listening to him on the radio as a Kid with absolute detest; and yet here I am only 10 years later enjoying his tales of Janet & John - and of course the uncontrolable laughter with 'the voice of the balls' etc.......
Will be really sad to see him go, with a glimmer of hope with Chris Evans. NOW, the worrying thing is, the rumour that Simon Mayo will take over the drivetime show...........![]()
Please Beeb don't do it!
I had to go to Church when they got rid of Johnnie Walker at drivetime, now I have to go back again.............that bloody stuff they swing to and fro on a chain singing something about Mary.............do NOT want to have to go through that again!
(However, I would gladly go to Church twice daily to see the back of Ken Bruce - he gives me the eeebbiieee jeeebiiies - dark alleys, macs etc...if you get my drift). ![]()
I don't think I've heard Chris Evans on the radio ever? I've never listened to breakfast shows, who has time to? My favourite salabrity story involves a night out with Evans, Jimmy Five Bellies and Gary Lineker's brother (the one who got jailed in Tenerife) waaaay back in 1998. They wandered into the boozer we were running for somebody on a Monday night at about 7pm. As we were the only other cunts in the place they joined our table and a proper mad night ensued. He was a top bloke.
Anyway, it's all about George Lamb on BBC 6Music 10-1 Monday to Friday. Funny as fuck and with a killer playlist. Honestly, it's piss yer pants hilarious. I look forward to listening to that more than watching anything on the telly at the moment. Download the podcast.
Two good things about this announcement:
It has completely diverted attention away from Chris so-unfunny-its-embarrassing Moyles 'record breaking' stint as Radio 1 breakfast show host.
Evans will probably poach a load of Radio 1 morning listeners over to the dark side, thus rendering the overweight talentless oxygen thief redundant.

Simon Mayo on Five Live is actually pretty good. What worries me is who takes over his slot.
