Time to reveal your most shamefully embarrasing gig..

Mine must be EMF back in about 1990 at Brixton Acadamy, it was one of those *ahem* "cool" phases you see

Went to a Heart and Nightranger show in 83, I think, on a date. NOT my idea of a perfect evening, to be sure.

Made up for it a week later by going to see Devo.

I saw the JACKSON FIVE at PRESTON with MICHAEL JACKSON in 1977.:D

Saw Lionel Ritchie at the Sydney Entertainment Centre in 86 or 87 ... Don't ask me why !!

The only cool thing about it was, the lead singer of the support band had a habit of swinging the microphone round his head until it wrapped itself around his neck that is!

Spandau Ballet, but I was very young and the wench was very keen on the band.

Eric Clapped out (but the tickets were free and we left after 4 songs)

Actually got one to top Sisters of Mercy and thats .... Kool and the Gang 1992ish

must have blotted it out from my memory. I think there was about 25 of them on stage but thats all I can remember.

c.u.s.m. were quite good live though, & predated the order by having a fat bloke introduce them on stage.

I have the worst list of all. guaranteed.

Even though my choice in both CD's and concerts are usually impeccable I did end up at a Michael Jackson concert sometime in the eighties. Kim WIlde was opening, but I not sure this helps my case... :o

bad use of tense there. i obviously needed my ead sorted out, all those gigs were in my impressionable youth, then in 89 saw new order just after the cure, all about eve, rem & heart (all around same time) & saw the light.

since when have seen the order, the pixies, sugarcubes, house of love, monaco, galaxy 500, julian cope, the sundays, throwing muses, rem, billy bragg, billy bragg & the blokes, radiohead, stone roses, charlatans, debbie harry, uresi yatsura, sugar, that petrol emotion & loads of others.

They did for a while I think, no idea about now. I didnt even know they were playing that night until they appeared on stage.

I don't think seeing the Go-Go's would be that embarrassing, as long as you didn't follow them around on an entire tour or something. Yes, I saw them once too. Hell, they once opened up for The Specials and Madness on a UK tour at the heyday of those bands.

Also saw The Bangles just before their first album was released; that was a very good show. Unfortunately, the stuff they had hits with didn't sound anything like what I heard. :(

Take That (1993) I was very hormonal, it was purely a lust thing, and Ronan Keating, earlier this year, took my Mother to see him. Many of you will know my Mother is totally obsessed with him, It used to be Sinatra, but she hit 60 and Ronan became flavour of the month. Shame really, even worse was that i knew most of the songs after her playing them in the house all the time!!!

Weeell, I've always been appreciative of some quality disposable pop tunes (i.e. my 15 years of appreciation for Kylie), but even I despair at myself for the attendance of that particular gig

dunno if anyone remembers MN8...... well anyway i went to see them in concert when i was younger, really enjoyed myself untill the end when we managed to get back stage.... i was runnin about like a fookin lunatic and this car came out of no where and nearly hit me... in the car was G-Man who was a quarter of MN8... there i was shoutin loads of abuse at him only for him to wind his window down and look at me like a bit of shit and tell me very in a very calm manner to "fookin move".... probably doesnt sound that embarrasin but at the time i was mortified....
