There were some great clubs in Kuta circa '92. Kuta was good for nightlife, and sanur was good for eating and sleeping. One of the best holidays i ever had. Couldn't afford to go back nowdays!

the scene has shifted to kemang/ s.jakarta these days as i understand
Emmalines nightclub in Rugby circa 1984- 1985. Couldn't fail but dissolve in to a mass riot on a Saturday night. Chairs flying everywhere the lot
Usually sparked when the DJ put on She Sells Sanctuary by The Cult
Oh and She Sells Sancturay also started fights in The Crown in town too around that time am perusing old The Cult stuff on Spotify. Rain was another corker. Astbury was a bit of a twat but we'll let it go. Talking of which where is Christopher Owens these days?

The best clubs won't let you in the door... or you will not hear of them until they become uncool or closed for business because the owner went bankrupt/sent to prison.

Amnesia - At ibiza (It's out of this world)
Pacha Ibiza - At ibiza ( of course )
Privilege - At ibiza (the wolds biggest club)
Space - At ibiza
I'm from Spain, Barcelona. I've been in the united states, uk, france, italy...
And whenever you think of the worlds finest, the worlds best, the most unique, think of ibiza.
It's really something else.
I'm going next summer again, it's really incredible.
(oh and in pacha, I met an american go-go, from san francisco, I asked her: YOur a go-go, so you've been to many clubs right? go-go: yeah! me: so where is the best place to go? go-go: This place is the best, by FAR!)

The world's best club for me is below the Kandinsky Hotel in Cheltenham.
I was ordered to book this hotel by a friend when attending a wedding. The super posh wedding ended early and was a bit boring, but my mate came up and said go back to the hotel, the night is young with a wink. I slipped in a cab,feeling a bit too sober.
I got back into the hotel, and the doorman asked if i was 'going downstairs later'. I looked quizzically, and he told me to switch on Channel 99 on my TV.
I did this, and it was a CCTV of a bar. I popped downstairs bribed the doorman (this was customary) and he turned a key on the elevator, and I ended up in a small seedy looking club, playing the BEST MUSIC EVER.. and all the barmaids were dressed in bunny girl outfits and looked FANTASTIC..
and ermm... I think that's where i'll choose to leave it.
This was ten years ago, and was just about the best night EVER.

Reading between the lines Berto..he was a back-doorman and you had a robust enthusiasm.Or at least,minimal qualms.
