If you really don't think there's any difference between the two then you've got a surprise coming when Cameron & Co take over. I'm absolutely with you on the things in the edit, but we're a long, long way off a return to nationalised industries and genuine investment in the public sector. You can point the finger of blame for that state of affairs at lots of people, but the truth is that people have voted for neoliberal consensus again and again and again, whether it be Thatch's Tories or 'New' Labour.

The public gets what the public wants. Until it decides that it wants something else instead and is actually prepared to fight for it. Until then, the current pale imitation of the Labour Party is always an infinitely better option that the 'alternative'.
