Rocko big thanks for sending 'FAC All' CD ... the only thing is, it literally is 'FAC All'!. Not wanting to complain Mick but only 1 channel seems to have been recorded, the left speaker, and the volume is as low as a seagull skimming for fish.

Are the wires lose on your replicating machinery or is there a gremlin within the works?

Either way the contents 'cock-on'.

Are the wires lose on your replicating machinery or is there a gremlin within the works? What we have here HUNTSMAN is a technical glitch.I have played it through my equipment, via headphones and it is playing through both channels but NOT too high. But this was without the last track.Still that should not have affected it in this way.Previously this happened on i track on CONFUSED.Now i ask the question can YOU hear through TWO speakers. If so the ONE channel problem would stem from the MINIDISC only having ONE type of socket and THE DIGITAL lead we have tried 3 different MINIDISCs has failed to work. How do i listen to them you may ask?Well i have a graphic to enhance the sound but when not using it a VERY large TURN up the volume is needed on the TECHNICS.Now i have been told by SPUTNICK i can alter the recording levels in PC itself which may have been altered since WINDOWS 98 was reinstalled due to other problems with XP.Other than that ALL the stuff i have sent out or recorded this way as been gladly accepted as the NORM for PC/MP3/RECORDED stuff via the NOOL's.Just like VINYL has to be twice as LOUD as CD on the VOLUME this is merely a problem of the RECORDING limitations from my setup.I have noticed this with stuff i have had sent too. Solution is check out ALL recording levels on the MINIDISC/ PC.Trouble is if i set the MINIDISC any higher on LINE it distorts....rumble in the jungle. Check PC. Try a 4 th lead. Buy the original.....:D But do not despair ,as a perfectionist myself i will endeavour with several :beer:s tonight to rectify SOME of these glitches. This is why i said to YOU listen carefully and i am glad of your comments. If any other NOOL's have experienced similar problems and RECTIFIED them without being too TECHY..this is ROCKET MICK...not ROCKET SCIENCE then please feel free to show me the errors of my RECORDING. Cheers ROCKET MICK.... :cool2:

Well Rocks and Stones I can verify this after playing your CD 'FAC All' in our office main generator which is a Sony product and extremely silver:

'Throughout the entire CD'

  1. Left channel only working
  2. volume is extremely low

Rock if there was a slight imbalance on a few songs then I would welcome and embrace these turnips as newly found friends, however, this present situation is an utter disgrace and I'm thinking about phoning Lorraine Kelly.

Well yes, I wasn't necessarily phoning her to discuss Rocket's Compact Disc replication methods, that would just be an inroad to other matters.

IT IS!Well that is cos when i play them back i have the SURROUND and SUPER BASS on the stereo integrated SU-x320 PXS cap TECHNIC amplifer with ACT BI-BASS..BY ACTIVE CURRENT SENSOR which all means A..its GOOD for me...B...crap for you! Well back to the soundboard on this one but i see no easy solution unless i can actually get some LEAD that may exsist but without MULDER and SCULLY (and fellow NOOL's)help you could be stuck with a ROCKET TURKEY.The value of which will SOAR but like FAC FLEXIS not much cop to play. ROCKET  in the studio MICK

Mick how did you manage to tape the live gig you sent me? ... did you just 'think' it onto the disk or did you have a lead that's now been lost behind the biscuit tin?

Incidentally, I'm still on hold for Kelly, she's busy making someone up to look like a chewit.

We are going to revert back to XP today.Meanwhile i will send a copy or two out to other NOOL's for a TEST...WHILE LABEL/TEST PRESSING kind of thing. Then i shall RERECORD the tracks to MINIDISC again and change ALL settings to the MAX. Once done i will RECORD on the PC with ALL GUNS BLAZING.It may take a few days but i want it right for YOU:D.Then you will be sent a copy with a packet of CHEWITS signed by L.KELLY.Happy now?

Just a thought Mick, maybe something went awry with your soundcard drivers when you re-installed Win98?

I now have mental image of Rocket Mick running around Rocket Towers like a cross between the Doc from Back to the Future and that squeaky professor from The Muppet Show, furiously attempting to construct an invention which will solve the Huntsman's issues.

DETAIL.......due to the cable/lead being used the effect is only ENHANCED when played back using SURROUND on the AMP. Therefore after checking the MINIDISC via another graphic confirming my source was recorded in TWO channels...it has lost its way onto the PC via the link from MINIDISC.WHY? Because although this is a STEREO cable this is only going into one socket from one socket, not a TWO via TWO connection which is ONLY possible with a MORE MODERN and EXPENSIVE SOUNDBLASTER card with ALL THE KIT CARBOODLE,dual input sockets and the lot.To obtain unless SPUTNICK gets one i should HAVE to get a JOB.So back to the STUDIO for a different approach.:D ROCKET MICK ON A MISSION TO OBLIVION :D

Cheers and going back to XP but i think it is cos i am not using a DUAL socket sound card!Strange that no one else mentioned this but i have listened without problem to most of the stuff i have sent out and heard very few problems. But it is probably how i play them back that this problem is MASKED! Cheers for the help though and how are your CDs soundwise? ROCKET MICK:wink:
