...with Dave Simpson (who else?). She's really very candid these days and now has suitably austere grey hair.

Liz speaks etc.

If you buy the thing itself New Order also get a mention a few pages further into the 'Film & Music' section: "Age of Consent" named no.1 'song about coming-of-age'.

Ah Dave Simpson! Just finished reading hs book on THE FALL, THE FALLEN about the 50 odd ex-members of the Fall, really good read. He's painstakinkly scoured the country over two years to contact them all.Final one in the book is my good friend Mike Leigh, who on result of being interviewed and put in touch with Bramah,Carroll and The Hanleys, went and bought himself an electronic drumkit....the one he uses in our band PEARL DIVERS.

Good single; I missed her voice a lot, it's really a delight to hear her again. Reading the article, she seems to have suffered a lot with that bad, bad man Guthrie :nonono:

What Liz casually omits from that interview is that all three of them were notorious mindless drug hoovers throughout the 80s. Robin was undoubtedly the worst (he took to throwing up on himself in interviews from the early 80s), but for a band that made music created out of of stardust and tinsel they all certainly knew how to cane it to a (wo)man.
