Has yours started yet?

We're working up until Christmas Eve, but it seems my colleagues are already into full wind down mode. Stood chatting around each others desks, being silly, on tinterweb and stuff.

Not me though.

Our department is just fucking around. Half the people arent here, so everyone is just sat around eating chocolates.

Half the students arent here so we've jus tbeen doing revision. Tomorrow, I'd be amazed if I had higher than 25% attendance.

Finish at 1230 and its straight on the train to Manchester...

New Head of HR has sent round an email saying staff can leave early on Christmas Eve - 4.30pm! He has not got a clue. Unless that's his Christmas wind-up.

Several people praying for heavy snow whilst staring out the windows. Could be a fun journey home tonight as we have a Committee meeting so won't get out until 11pm ish.

I've been winding down for the past month!

Er, I suppose I'd better do a bit of work before Christmas Eve, then have the week off between Christmas and New Year - back at work on 4th Jan.

I need to get some xmas shopping done though, sharpish. For some unknown reason my bank card gets rejected online, fuck knows,it's a right head doer.

So twice I've been down Boro to do it the old fashioned way,and twice I've seen the bloody awful queues and thought sod that and gone for wind down gallon instead.

I'll do it tomorrow,or the day after,or whenever.Fucking have to won't I.

College has closed today because of the snow. So winding down has been speeded up. Of course, winding back up again will recommence in a few hours when I subject myself to the British Transport System.

Good luck - I've got that to contend with on Sunday and Monday... :dead:
