Pandemonium live DVD/CD

"Pandemonium Live, The O2 Arena, London, 21 December, 2009" is the full title of Pet Shop Boys' live double-pack DVD and CD which will be released by Parlophone on February 15 (international release dates will vary slightly).

The DVD includes the full Pandemonium show filmed by David Barnard who directed Pet Shop Boys' "Cubism" DVD. The sound has been mixed for DVD by Dave Woolley. There are also seven DVD extra features: "My girl" and "It doesn't often snow at Christmas" (Live at the O2); the music videos for "Love etc.", "Did you see me coming?" and "All over the world"; the complete 2009 Brits Awards performance, featuring Lady Gaga and Brandon Flowers; and an audio commentary by Pet Shop Boys and stage designer Es Devlin.

The CD includes 17 songs from the show (the full show is too long to fit on a single CD) and has been mixed by Stuart Price. These audio tracks will also be available to purchase separately as a digital download. The track-listing is:

1 More than a dream ⁄ Heart 2 Did you see me coming? 3 Pandemonium ⁄ Can you forgive her? 4 Love etc. 5 Go west 6 Two divided by zero 7 Why don’t we live together? 8 New York City boy 9 Always on my mind 10 Closer to Heaven ⁄ Left to my own devices 11 Do I have to? 12 King’s Cross 13 Suburbia 14 Se a vida é ⁄ Discoteca ⁄ Domino dancing ⁄ Viva la vida 15 It’s a sin 16 Being boring 17 West End girls

I saw them in Amsterdam on 22/06/2009 and was delighted to see them again after seeing them in 2006 and 2002. This show was great, but the sound in the Heineken Music Hall was not so great. I was at the balcony on the backside and that was a good place to spot them constantly, but soundwise, it was a slight disaster ...

However, I REALLY want this double-DVD, for the film, but mostly because of the sound.

Neil and Chris are still one of my favourites.

Live? Where's the Fairlight?

I call BULLSHIT and tapes!

Question is....what does Chris do if the music is off tape?

Chris stands there with his silly clothes on trying not to look 50!

To be fair, everything the fairlight could do can now be done on a lap top, it may not be as glamarous as keyboard, monochrome monitor and a mainfrmae that costs £50,000.00 (equivelant to £118,500.00 today!) but it's got to be easier to lug around

Found a nice pic for the non techy types.
