Remasters are out now. No extras at all it seems. Any reason to get a German version above an english language version?

No reason at all. (Unless you really want the German language versions).

I went for autobahn, it's such a great chill out album, there's loads of little things in it that remind me of other stuff you wouldn't normally associate with kraftwerk, the vocal harmonies at 14:45 remind me of the Beach Boys Barbara Ann, Kometenmelodie 2 is Rock & Roll with synths, it's just a great mix of a wide range of influences.
my favourite Craft Work is making things out of washing up liquid bottles like they used to on Blue Peter 
When will Kraftwerk remix the remix album and sample it and put it out in a new cover and expect us to buy it again?

My favourite album is Computer World and my favourite Kraftwerk gig i've attended is Birmingham Hummingbird July 1991.Followed by Sheffield City Hall the very next night.Proper Kraftwerk live with their whole studio on stage.Not this laptop shite.

And I agree with Johnny. The 1991 tour was excellent even if Karl Bartos and Wolfgang Flur were out of the band.

If my vinyl originals are anything to go by, there are some slight differences in track times.
Also, a pointer would be that the tracks were mostly written in German - by Germans, so the rhythm of the language and the "nuances" of meaning would probably make the German versions a better bet.
However, if, like me, you don't speak German, that probably wouldn't make that much difference!
I don't think many people buy Kraftwerk albums for the lyrics though ;)
I voted for Radio-Activity eventually (but I love them all!)
I've got both the English and German versions and I actually prefer the German versions - the lyrics seem to fit the music better.
I voted for "Mensch-Machine". It was hard to decide between it and "Computerwelt", because I love both.
I only like one of their songs Computer Love and just one tiny bit of that I really really like.
Not that I'm picky or anything.
I've never bought or listen to Computer World, but The Man-Machine is head and shoulders above the rest. I plan to use the intro of Metropolis on a electro-trance mix set when I finally learn how to mix!

not sure why you've only started at autobahn, that's a bit like starting new order albums from brotherhood, the early stuff is fantastic, I never get tiered of hearing ruckzuck

Sorry, trying not to dilute the totals, since generally these are considered their "peak" period by most critics, right or wrong. Electric Cafe (or TechnoPop now, a much better name) was probably unfairly put down, by some, at the time.
The first 3 records have not been allowed to be released legally on CD, far as I know.
