Came really close to having my head shaved at the weekend.

I was definitely going for it right up until I sat down, then just nodded at the barber when he said 'the usual, is it?'

Next time, it's all coming off

I've shaved my head completely several times, the first while I was at school, back in the day when there was discipline in schools, I very nearly got suspended!

Now quickly approaching 42 I'm making the most of my graying but relatively thick head of hair, so haven't shaved it for a few years.

Just make sure you don't the the Brian Eno thing!

Once had it all off,totally bald, never again though,I was like an extra from 'Schindlers List'!

was pissed, Bic-ed it all off, do it in summer, you get a tan and don't feel the cold , then by christmas you can get a set of clippers as a pressie and do your own hair. haven't been to a hairdressers/ barbers since 1999. but then i haven't felt a pair of breasts resting on my shoulders asking me where i'm going on my holidays either.

Had it done once in boot camp, I looked in the mirror and wanted to kick my own ass. Needless to say, I don't look good without hair... god help me if I go bald:dead:

A chapter in Jack Dee's book Thanks For Nothing is a great tale of his trips to one barber and their mutual hatred for each other.Cracking book.You must read it.

Nope never heard of em but had a listen on you tube and sounds good.

I always like bands no one has heard of - one of my favourites is The Passage.

6x7 split about a year ago. And Chris started his solo trip with doing Singer/Songwriter stuff. He's playing a (so far) one-off solo gig in London on Monday. And I'll be there :D .

Fuck up of the year

Well whatever... I have a proper haircut now (after almost 40 years). Feeling gooood :).

Confirmed baldie so my best advice is as follows;

Use clippers without a guard to get your hair as short as possible.

Lather up with plenty of cream.

Use a lady razor, Wilkinson Sword do a purple and green razor, three blades that flex and don't get clogged up easily. If they do they are easily freed with a shake under the water. Don't know whether they are designed for legs or faffs but they will certainly clear lots of hair.

Keep on top of it, a day or two's growth will shave easily, a few days a you're likely to cut your head (the razor above minimises this)

Have to say.. although I hate to admit it, on my return from a days shopping, JT's head is smooth as a babys arse!

Lady razors are obviously the way forward!

Take note Al, Legge, Andy Sayer et al ..

And I don't mean his knob, married 15 years, rather have a cup of tea!!!
