I only ever bought one thing by The Wake .And that was only because i liked the cover.

you're just Being Boring... I quite enjoyed them at the belgian factory night in december. although caesar now looks a lot like reginald christie from 10 rillington place.
I saw them a couple of times back in 84ish. They used to do a good version of Stevie Wonders 'For The City'.
Anyone know whos in the line up these days?
yeeaa the wake,, used to love ceasar doing the Barney kneeling with guitar by foldback thing,, they were o.k for a non original band.

I really loved The Wake back in the 80's. I saw them in 84 at the Rock Garden or was it the London school of economics..?? can't remember now. Anyway i'm going.. Hope they play 'Uniform' ......
The Wake were great at the Plan K gig. In fact, given the passage of time since they'd last played, they were amazing.
As John Cerysmatic said mid-way though their set, if you wanted to describe the archetypal Factory sound to someone, this would be it.
Am looking forward to it.

I didn't say whether i liked The Wake or not. i just said i liked one of their cover artworks. though strangely enough that DVD you sent me once froze on "that cunt from The Wake's face"
Damn it I missed it as they were on a bit earlier than I thought - even V8 Jag power couldn't get me down the M1 fast enough....
