I'm probably a year or two behind with this guy, but just heard of him today (on soccer am of all places!)
The music is pretty good, but I'm just impressed that someone is making records with a decent message.

The man is a legend. Walked past him in camden once. Strange looking chap.
This is the one with the real message:
Yeah Xfm's John Kennedy more or less discovered them. Then Rob da Bank of Radio 1 (and Bestival) signed them to his Sunday Besy label. They're quite fun live, I've seen em four times. Not sure they've managed to better "Thou Shalt..." which was their big tune on the first album. Get Better is the "lead single" for the second album. Whilst "Thou shalt..." was a fun sort of commandments listy thing, Get Better may be a bit too sincere in its preachyness...

What he said. Borderline 'cheesy' in fact. And I don't see 'the kids' listening to anything a man with a FUCKING BEARD has to say.

Well more fool them. Big fuck off ZZ Top style beards are an automatic sign of wisdom. Unless they are ginger beards, then it's automatic beheading, natch.

I've got ginger bits in my beard. Which means sadly, I'll never be able to grow one without looking like a total bell-end. Or running the risk of beheading.
good live. laptop beats and some free-flowing MCing. and beards. no flat caps though, which was quite a look in Chorlton a few years ago.
"Joy Division...just a band" -'Thou shalt always kill'.
Couldn't grow a beard if I wanted, I'd just grow strange blonde patches everywhere. One time tried to grow a mostache when the wife visited fmily for a month. First thing she said when we met in the airport, "SHAVE IT OFF!"... not a "I missed you love" no hug no nothing... actually refused to kiss me until it was gone![]()
