The Anthony Kiedis of RHCP's book, someone on here recommended it a while back,i bought it today on the strength of that recommendation,it better be good or you'll be getting whacked right across the back of the nut with it (its the hardback edition)

I didn't recommend it to you but it is a good read if you like biographies and the like.

Scar Tissue's good.

Best rock autobiography I've ever read though is Status Quo's. Parfitt and Rossi write alternate chapters. Interesting reading the different perspectives on things. Their music might be rotten but they knew how to party. Makes for an interesting yet quite grim read at times. Parfitt getting full of nosebag at his 4 year old daughter's funeral for example.

Possibly the worst book on sale today. Kiedis is an exceptionally dull man and Flea is a dreadful bassist.

The Kraftwerk bio is much more interesting.

What's Flea's abilities on the bass guitar got to do with a book by and about Anthony Kiedis? As it happens i think the Chilli Peppers are, for the most part, utterly shite. If however you like a good tale of proper rock n' roll excess and to listen to the thoughts of one of it's most dysfunctional characters then it's a great book. Bet you any money you've never read it. Am I right?

As for the Kraftwerk bio you recommend I hope it's better than 'I Was A Robot' by Flur which was gash. I gave up after the two 'dream sequence' chapters where he was talking with some woman who didn't exist.
