I love HBO.
I reckon if God had asked me which TV series I'd most want to see written, it would probably be something from the Sopranos stable, certainly on HBO, maybe about gangsters in Prohibition times, possibly having Scorsese directing and definitely having Steve Buscemi as one of the leading roles.
This looks absolutely ace. I cannae wait.
Just a facking shame it's got Stephen Graham in it as Al Capone, but you can't have everything.

Oh, I dunno - he was a pretty good Bay Face Nelson in "Public Enemies" recently, complete with de rigueur violent psychosis and thick Chicago accent.
It should be fookin ace, HBO rarely fail to amuse me.
On a related note, apparently Sky have bought the full HBO catalogue rights. Bonza!

I never got round to watching that. Seemed a bit girlie. 
Sopranos closely followed by the Wire for me.
And I absolutely adored Oz, but probably for all the wrong reasons. That was just mental. Actually, I'm gonna see if I can find a little hat for my son like what Simon Adebesi sported. The angle of that had still makes me giggle.
Band of Brothers could be utterly breathtaking at times. Some of the battle scenes were just phenomenol.
Am quite liking Treme though am getting a little tired of the brass bands and ting. Does everyone in New Orleans have to be musical then? They even had Bunk Moreland playing trombone in a fcuking lap-dancing club whilst the girls did their thang. You do not want to be listening to a fcuking trombone in a lap-dancing club. Well, I don't anyway.
I must be the only person who didn't like Rome though. Just couldn't get into it.
I found "In Treatment" pretty compulsive too. Gabriel Byrne has been in some shite over the years, but I've always really rated him. You have to be in the right mood for it, though: people talking endlessly about their "feelings" can get a bit tedious if you're not in the right frame of mind (even in sub-30 minute bite-sized episodes) - which was one of the(occasional) failings of "Six Feet Under", IMO. "SFU" was still mostly great TV, mind.
As a libido-enhancing bonus "In Treatment" also features this lass, who I don't mind admitting I've had a major thing for since her "Home & Away" days.
She can come and lie on my couch any day, etc.

Depends on the season. Season 1 was phenomenal, whereas Season 2 was a mess..
