When I am world leader, focusing in on a fucking gaytar when the noise is clearly coming from a BASS, will be punishable in only two ways....death, or life but you have to watch your family die.
We'll reduce the moron count sooner or later.
Actually the most disgusting example was in the vid of The Light at the 1 2 3 4 gig......Hooky's yankin the titties off his plank in the middle of insight....camera gives us close up of utterly inaudible and irrelevent gaytar.....I expect this kind of thing from normals, not those who understand the wisdom of the Hooky.
PS Tambourine as a replacement for nasty electric cymbal/clap noise= moderate fail.
A brand new level of sycophancy & toadying up there Cambo, nice ![]()
When I saw The Light at 1234 I was surprised at how good some of those electric guitar parts sounded after all this time; Bernard really excelled himself back in the day and it has to be said The Light's guitarist did a fine job of recreating them. They were rocking. Simple, jagged but very fucking effective. She's Lost Control stuck in my head as one of the standouts.

Well done that man.

I do love those early photos where Barney looks for all the world like he's still at school. In that pic he comes across as an absent-minded Grammar School kid who forgot it was non-uniform day after he pulled his trousers on...

You've just perfectly described what I was trying to put into words when I saw Transmission last night. Their guitarist is very good at that... thing you've just said there.

Nahhh it's just rampant, delusional, bassism.
FWIW....Barney is hardly a typical guitarist, he can play in time for one thing.
Sounds Ok in a not-very-much-thought-gone-into-it kind of way.
The guy at 0.24 summed it up. Walking past, not interested.
