Andy McLuskey is a nasty piece of work. I told him as much at a Kraftwerk concert in Birmingham in 1991.

I have been playing it for a few days. It has some great tunes on it. Well worth a listen

I enjoy it a lot more than I suspected I would on the early releases of demo tracks earlier this year. Impressed enough so I bought the boxset! I have a tendency to still skip If You Want It despite it being the first single out. The guys have done well live in the last few years though I've yet to go overseas to see them - rumor has it they'll navigate this way for something in 2011.

Its a good album. Less like 'Universal' more like the old stuff only more, er, modern.

The single's really grown on me,love it now!

Well, Ive battered this album over the last few days and I think its superb. OMD are touring soon, now he's available perhaps Hooky could join them on bass to enable McCluskey to rip off some even more ridiculous dance moves.

They were on BBC2 Review Show last Friday night.I still find McCluskey embarrassing yet strangely amusing The synth riff is cheesy but oh i dunno, it is quite catchy i suppose if i'm honest

The OMD album is rather good. It's only when you see them on TV, you realise how old they are now.

Good job New Order did split up, otherwise we never have heard the wonderful Bad Lieutenant or Freebass.

I have a bootleg live album from the nineties where he admits he dances like a twat. I think in the eighties he really thought he was a Dance God.

I've often found it difficult to put my finger on what it is about him i don't like but i think you've solved that for me there

He's got a lot to answer for re: Atomic Kitten. I'm surprised he wasn't twatted at every chance by passersby on the street. He did a great episode of Never Mind the Buzzcocks, though. Believe it's the only time a team won by such a landslide.

Now you've all got me wondering: what IS the optimal age for synthpop/post punk bands to stop playing (live or otherwise)?

The album's fucking brilliant! Not quite Dazzleships though there's still a few glimpses of not just doing great pop tunes but a little experimental too. Biggest surprise is PULSE featuring Abi Clancy on vocals (ooh's).

Is it worth getting then? I've heard so many mixed reviews of this album.

The design of the front cover is a little odd, those of you who live in the Greater Manchester area or just outside like I do must surely be getting a sense of deja vu on seeing that orange back ground and the black and white angular lines (god only knows what it's supposed to represent) but what it DOES call to mind is the old Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council logo that they had back in the 80s before they started using the crest. Said logo was a mix of brown and orange if I recall correctly and a lot of locals say it was scrapped because it resembled a swastika tipped on its side.

Not quite so original now, eh?

i'm enjoying it apart from track 14 which is a big pile of wank....
