I watched Inception (great film BTW) the other night and there was this instrumental piece being played sporadically throughout the film. The guitar reminded me of the rift from Murder.
Anyway, turns out it was Johnny Marr.
Bit random i know.

Omg, for real? That is awesome. I can't remember that piece, but I liked the soundtrack a lot. How could I not have noticed that? I am ashamed of myself. ^^ That makes me like the composer a bit more. How would one come up with an idea as great as having Johnny Marr on his soundtrack?

What's funny is that I'm a huge Johnny Marr fan from way back and I bought the soundtrack not knowing he was on it.
It's crazy how prolific he is.

Indeed. Although, admittedly, he hasn't made anything that could beat his stuff in the Smiths. I liked the Healers record. The funny thing is, that album sounds like some new kind of britpop and the genre was full of bands influenced by the Smiths and Marr's guitar play.

It certainly comes to something when the guitarist is the only person onstage not pulling a rockstar face. That cellist thinks she's Slash. Either that or she needs one.
The guitar bit halfay through reminded me more of Elegia - especially with the big drums and ambient soundscape...
