Sunday morning records....

Twice I tried to enjoy Pet Sounds this very morning, as it was the first thing I felt like listening to upon rising. Twice (because of a thunder storm) the power went out, but I'll listen to it later. What are some of your fave records to play on Sunday morning? (Instead of, say, going to church)

Horizons - LTJ Bukem, pure bliss.

This year, when I felt like listening to music on Sundays, especially after a late Saturday night, it's been After Everything Now This by The Church, some lazy guitar psychedelia that fits the bill nicely.

Green, what would recommend by the church after priest=aura? that's the last album i bought by them though they usually get pretty good reviews. i used to check out a church site but it wasn't updated well. i don't even remember what it was.

I like Priest=Aura a lot, but that's cause it's kind of trippy. Aura is one of my all-time faves, but some of the other songs are kind of hit and miss (and the sea-chanty chorus of The Disillusionist drives some people crazy).

The Blurred Crusade is probably the best of the early stuff, while all of the post Priest=Aura records have their share of low points. Really, I don't think you can go wrong with the last one, After Everything Now This. I like all of the songs, and have played it steadily since it came out in April. Numbers, Awful Ache, Song For The Asking, Radiance, Night Friends,the title song, and Invisible rank right up with their other bests.

joe jackson night & day or body & soul would be good sunday morning ones, but dont tend to listen to them these days as only have them on tape. what about the remix cd on faithless' 2nd album - 3 amsunday morning?

Seefeel are such an underrated act arent they? I also have "Pure/Impure" and "Fractured/Tied". I'm not sure if the band still exist anymore.
