Clive Dunn is actually still alive?
I was never a fan of Mr Wisdom's work.. 'oooh nooo Mr Grimsdale' seems to clog in the memory, and some weird association with Albania, who see him as a deity and will no doubt have a week of mourning.
here's a scene of Norman and Mr Grimsdale eating apples laced with LSD:
I was saddened by his death, one of comedies old boys, much better than the likes of Mckintyre,Webb,Carr,Fry and the rest of the toffee nosed Uni educated twats on TV atm,and I shared a birthday with him,as well as Tim Booth and Natalie Umbrella,Alice Cooper,Ray Evans (Que sera sera) RIP Sir Norman Wisdom
Sad.
I guess it had to happen sometime....
RIP you endearingly kooky little man.
Lee Evans has got nothing on this guy.

Norman was a funny man but I prefer Lee Evans. It must be a generation thing.

How fucking old do you think Clive is??! Chaplin rated Norman Wisdom and that's good enough for me, Mr Grimsdale. You wouldn't get Lee Evans on the board at Brighton, either.
(Btw - Congrats on the season thus far, Clive. Beyond the annual Gay Pride festivities, these must be the most enjoyable times to be a Brighton fan for years?!)
Saw him a good few years back in his sons sports shop in Haywards Heath, A well engaging fella,,an original comic..
still.

Not as far as I'm concerned. I was already long sick of Evans's mega-hyperactive Frank-Spencer-meets-Norman-Wisdom stage routine back in 1995 before he went absolutely meteoric. I can't even watch him for a few seconds on telly without feeling like I'm going to hyperventilate and suffer a heart attack. Even our dogs Checkers and Marbles fucking hate him cos they always bark at the telly if he comes on.
