The Event

Quite liking this so far.Starting watching it, against my better judgement after 5 bloody years of frustration and ultimate disappointment with Lost, and it's actually not that bad.Echoes of Lost and Flash Forward in the double header first episode last week. Gave it another look tonight (3rd episode) and it certainly moves along faster than Lost and answers more questions than Lost did as it goes but pops up more just as quickly. Anyone else watched it?

yup... watched 1,2,3... Just hope it comes to some sort of conclusion at the end of S1.

I read the other day that its cancellation is imminent Stateside. They don't piss about, do they?

Enjoyed the double-header last week, but felt it got a bit slack in episode 3. Was not impressed that the hot lass got bundled into the back of a van and remained shrouded in darkness for the remainder of the episode. Duh.

yup she was serious zinc loss material in Disturbia.

From the pre-publicity stills I initially thought she was the hot lass from "Fringe"?!

Regardless - Gawd bless high-gloss US TV and its obscenely attractive casts.

It's good! A sort of cross between LOST,FLASHFORWARD and 24! Just hope they don't drag it out!

Elsewhere in TV land i've enjoyed the current series of Spooks.Thought i was beginning to tire of it but its kept up the quality despite some hard to believe moments Not sure about the new girl but Harry has been in good form and i've finally taken slightly to Ruth.

Watched the first episode of The Trip last night. Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon together, playing themselves basically,on a trip together reviewing restaurants for The Observer. Last night's featured JD's Atmosphere as Coogan's chosen soundtrack on the car stereo for the journey north.

The impression off between the two was good viewing

Yeah, I liked that Coogan-Brydon show last night too - though it's been slagged off in the press a bit today. Enough oblique references to 24HPP to keep me happy, anyway - especially the way Coogan keeps sliding back into his version of Tony Wilson. Can't tell if its deliberate or if he just can't help himself....

And to keep with a running theme in this thread, the lass in the hotel was hot.

Thought for a moment Coogan was gonna go for it when she was showing him the newly available room at the Inn.Though actually i thought she might go for him first.She seemed quite impressed with both of them.
