Pixelthis clock

I happened to run across this while link-hopping from site to site. Someone is taking old computers and electronics and recycling them to be used as clocks. I saw alot of Apple computer parts being recycled, but what caught my eye were these old turntables.

The person who made this only has two of them for sale, but I suppose if interest is high they could make others from dead gear. I thought that an old LP that was scratched but still had a good label would be ideal to be used with this clock.

I just thought I'd share this with the community. The artist / creator is asking $129 USD plus shipping.

Bit silly, not sure why you want a beat up old turntable on the wall for 129usd

So what JD/NO vinyl would look the best as a clock?

Unknown Pleasures is rather obvious, I'm sure somebody has done it already. The coloured vinyl of PC&L is too rare to waste.

I was thinking there may be a way to create a label from a CD label printer and use that on some trashed LP and use that in the clock. Unknown Pleasures would be good for that.

Or, the artist / designer could look for some old dead Bang & Olufsen cd players and convert those, then you would have the CD art as the clock face.

Anyway, I thought it was cool.
