OK, OK I suppose after reading my message it was a wee bit over the top! But as you would probably have noticed, I was a wee bit fuckin pissed aff! You see, my beloved Glasgow Celtic were knocked out of club football's most prestigious tournament by a bunch of people who yodle and make Toblerone's fer a living:lol: I will try and cut back on the fuck and fuckin's - but really......was it that bad? everyone knows what I'm like by now (unless you had some knob-end e-mailing you, who obviously is not a regular visitor to the forum) The language used is everyday language for working class people like my good self, and was not aimed at anyone.......the offending message has been deleted, just in case anyone else get's offended, I promise I'll try and behave......but ye's know what I'm like, please don't cut my hair, or take my He-Man powers away.....love, hugs, kisses to all.......SHOOGZV

Don't know what he was getting all worked up about really. Does anyone else care about the results of obscure teams from other countries ? Now if he was Scottish he may be able to justify supporting Celtic. It's like that geezer on the TV advert whose favourite team is "Liverpool..................and Panathinaikos and Juventus".

Obscure teams!!!! After Man U, Celtic have the biggest season ticket subscriptions in the UK. On a global scale the Celtic brand is again only marginally less visible than Man U. There's a massive Celtic fan base all over North America and Australia. And I'm talking real, active supporters with direct links to the club and it's heritage not Thai kids running around with Man U tops on.

And we were the first British team to lift the European Cup. And before any English pricks start banging on about us trading on past glories......shut the fuck up aboot 1966!

P.S. You seem to know a lot about Shug's background as a Scot living in England (with an English accent) for someone who only joined the forum in July Mr. E....mmmmmm.

Having met aforementioned Shug enough times Mr F, more than you probably, I do ! The fact that I knew several people off here before July is also fairly relevant. The date of joining NOOL isn't date of birth !

Thank fuck there's another Tim about the place....nice one Mr F:thumb:

er, Celtic were shite, which was in my post that was deleted, I'll hold my hands up anytime and admit we were shite if we were! I agree with my esteemed colleague from up the road....Obscure?:nonono: Grahame said it all in his reply to that one.

Nicos - I have apologised, and I'll try to behave, but you've got to understand I Love Celtic as much as a person CAN love a sports team, and I love them even more than New Order (shock, horror:lol: ) Best of behaviour from now on:D

Having seen that Channel 5 program about 'did they fake the moonlanding' a week or two back, I have serious doubts about whether England ever did in fact win the world cup. I mean, looking at their performace within my lifetime it doesn't seem terribly plausible. The footage I've seen all looks rather suspect. If I had the energy and was sufficiently sad I'd create a website on the subject...maybe Channel 5 would take it up and run with it...

Not wishing to stir the pot....but i reckon 'shug' is the right man for this Forum(as it is general chat and anything goes...) He sort of reminds me of an uncle at a party who will let you have a crafty drink & smoke...(from a youngsters point of veiw) if you know what i mean. Hey we are all men & women of the world...so whats wrong with a bit of swearing...?

As a sociology graduate I could bore the tits off anyone about the so-called "classles society"....but I won't. Suffice to say that while there's people living in cardboard boxes the concept of class is still relevant.

I do apologise Flo, this kind of insulance will never happen again;) I was just stating that I am working class and it is the language used by most on the shopfloor at work, I wasnae trying it insinuate that middle class people never use swear words, I was giving you my perspective. Calssless society? you've gotta be kidding.

First aff - get rid of the Royal F****** Family and all their hangers on - that'd open up a bit more f******* cash fer the poor, old and needy people of this country! As Tony Blairos would say "It's all about EDUCATION, EDUCATION, EDUCATION" :D

And Duffy Pooh's

I always got the impression that the French got it right back in 1789, if you're talking about getting rid of the royals. They go on holiday permanently, wasting money that could be better spent on the improvement of living conditions amgonst the poor. But of course this is not much of a solution, as someone would inevitably rise to the top of the heap in the aftermath of Queen Elizabeth's beheading who would be just as bad or worse (see "Oliver Cromwell--chopped off Charles' head but proved to be an even bigger ass"). Besides, those few royals who try to do charity work(like Diana) deserve some measure of respect. And the royal family has no real impact on British policy making, right? Let them babble on about Queen and Country, the Glory of India, and what not, in their magnificantly outdated palaces while the real lawmakers do their job.

As for classless societies, like communism it's a nice idea on paper. But shit happens in the transfer to reality.

That's my little rant for the weekend. I've been unable to get online all weekend.....dammit

If you've read any of my earlier posts on this thread or indeed the several I have posted over the last year relating to God's game then you'd realise that I do in fact know quite a lot.

Also, until Man City are competing regularly in Europe (or even regularly in the Premiership!)I think you should refrain from making glib statements about Celtic, Rangers or the state of Scottish football. Yer settin yerself up there big fella.

My comments on the state of scottish football were meant in reference as to how many quality teams there are north of the border and not connected with the team that i support. In england there are 10 maybe 12 big teams, in scotland there are only 2 maybe 3 - which is why i think the quality of football is poorer than in england. keep your knickers on grahame for fooks sake

United, Liverpool and Arsenal

That's only 3 Mr Monster:nod:

Just a quick example, Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday would class themselves as big teams or sleeping giants, as would Villa, Chelsea, Leeds.....hope you understand this point in the way it was intended:nod:

There might be bigger teams and more competition doon here, but other than the 3 teams above, who else is gonna be challenging fer the league?

Ours is a 2 team league, and yours is 3....there's not that much difference is there?

Shug speaking fer the Michael Mouse Federation:D

Oops seems i hit a raw nerve in classing scottish football as not very good. but the whole reason why football is such a loved game is that everyone who likes it in whatever way has an opinion on it (just like music in many ways)

i'd be dismayed, disappointed and downright shocked if everyone had the same opinion on EVERYTHING - what a boring world that would be.

In any case i can't really say that ALL scottish football is poor, as i have supported manchester city for over 25 years so believe me i know crap football when i see it. hopefully my team is slowly turning the tide now and will soon put those prawn sandwich eating munich scum from across town to shame.
