First album was much better - Every Man and Woman is a Star. They were dead weird live, like some sort of jazz band with a keyboard.
Yeah often read the first album is better but never got round to checking it out. Wish I could find the actual vid to the track United Kingdoms. Recall it being all mystical English looking folks up to druidy stuff in the woods.
There's one track I can't remember the name off United Kingdoms album that the intro to is the audio equivalent of the first morning flourish of sunshine falling on a lush forest floor. Lovely.

As an art teacher, I can draw upon the aesthetic merits of that wonderful album cover of theirs for this release - the rich greens and the carved heads make such a beautifully organic combination. Most definitely one of the finest album covers of the year.... truly gorgeous. An A3 sized blow up of it is framed on my study wall somewhere at college.
The record inside is not too bad either. It's Lorraine who got me into checking out Ultramarine - she was really into all of those similar early 90s electronica acts back then!
