Gene, good call. I was thinking that most have been done to death. Everyone Everywhere would be a good one to do. I think its 3 chords (having watched the Montreoux performance on NewOrderStory).

Not sure about Hellbent, Ned. Might be a bit early.

being utterly shite on guitar I don't know what the chords are for everyone everywhere, but I read somewhere that Bernard didn't like playing it because it hurt his hands!!

Sorry JED (i know you dont own any atomic dustbins!). yeah, those barre chords can hurt after a while. thats why copy/paste is great in DAWs. lol

I'm not keen on your Reflections In The Rain song itself, but I admire your willingness to use more than just one chord-phrase in the track. I also like the piano performance in it.

You've got me thinking here, I reckon you could do what needs to be done with I Told You So (track #5, Waiting For The Sirens' Call). Just a thought.

After watching some NO youtube live clips and reading a NOOL thread about the chords, i had a quick bash at everyone everywhere.

its one take, lyrics a bit messed up at end and a slight variation on chords.

im half tempted to do a proper version with bass, drums and keys. dunno.

you might consider covering something from the BL album,chords seem easy to pick out on at a couple of the tracks and you could add more keyboards..

Its funny. I prefer to write my own stuff and kinda find it harder doing covers (because of the obvious comparison to original).

BL how long would be a good one to do. ITYS could be interesting in a more guitary concept. Paradise and AIWWIW would be interesting too(or have they been done to death).

If anyone is up for a collaboration, I would be interested.

I thought of a New Order track I wanna cover. It came to light after listening to Recycle's project (I think). Its never been officially released in original version and its called "Lets Go".

After listening to the 1985 demo with vocals I think its a gem of a track. I know it was released in 1995 as an Arthur Baker produced tracks with new lyrics but I like the original too and so wish NO recorded it properly and put it on Low-Life.

I can work out the lyrics, Ive got the synth line but am trying to learn the guitar chord rift. The internet brings up a suggestion but it doesnt seem quite right. Also the bass line is gonna be a pig to learn. But im gonna try. If anyone musicians wants to climb on board. Id be happy to collaborate.

You might be able to pick out the chords from this, sounds like Am C & G (among others)to my untrained ear. I much prefer the original lyrics and feel it's a pity it wasn't released back in the '80s,it would have fitted well on Brotherhood or LowLife.

Cheers for the link cranelane. I hadnt seen this before and it shows the chords better than any text could. It should help me out alot.

Now that the bassline is sorted, I think the chords are Am with a hammer on off on the b string between the first and third fret followed by G then C and finally back to G,he seems to play an open Am,G and C are barre chords on the third fret but not barring the chord the whole way across-(He's too lazy!) I tried playing it along to the bassline and it sounded right.

Thanks guys for the help. I kinda got the guitar pattern. Not sure it goes back to G but I'm following the live video.

Excellent bass vid Jed. Shame I ain't got a bass. So I'll try it on my bottom E string on semi acoustic and play around with it.

Yes it is fast. I thought it was 132bmp but that was just a guess. Better make it faster than. Lol

I'm not sure what it will sound like as an end product but it's been fun all the same. If nothing else but to revisit this criminally under-rated track.

Have fun with it anyway,it is one of the great lost New Order songs I think,am awaiting the results..

I can either send you an mp3 or if you want to send me a rough mix of your track I can record a track for that, then you have it at the right tempo.
