What song by the Division/Order can best be used as a sort of memorial to those who died (which one best fits the mood of that day)? For me, it's gotta be Atmosphere, it just perfectly expresses the loss of that day...

PASSOVER...and let us just HOPE that these insane acts are curtailed once and for all. But i fear that MAN will never learn....but let us remember we were all once young and innocent.Hopefully that innocence can once again be found.
um, i can't really associate any NO/JD song to 9/11. atmosphere comes close with its mood and melody, but the lyrics aren't really suited for 9/11. i'm sure there are songs where NO try to be political but it's just filled with bad rhymes (state of the nation?). maybe electronic's flicker would come close.
other than that, nope, there aren't really songs to associate with 9/11.

This IS an international forum, and not everybody's gonna love the USA. Nevertheless, we were attacked, we didn't ask for it, and we sure didn't want it (except for those war hawks in Bush's cabinet, but that's another thread entirely). Whatever your beef with the US, you gotta admit what a horrific occuraance 9/11 was.....

I'm thinking of a very melancholic song by Elysian Fields called Cities Will Fall, on their album "Queen of the Meadow" released in March 2001. The lyrics go like this:
"Cities will fall, cities will fall I've no regrets in spite of it all As the walls tumble down I will rest till I find you"
There may be many ways of interpretating this; I personaly understand it as a song claiming that love is stronger than death.
