Whats the worse band ever?

Broadcaster David Heane recently quoted Morrisey as saying: "There must be a worse band than Modern Romance, but I can't think of one...". 
Clearly, he hadn't foreseen Black Lace, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers etc etc.
The year 2000 was the worst though: Coldplay, U2, Destiny's Child and... S Club 7. 
'Nuff said.

I think we can leave out groups like westlife, boyzone etc. as they aren't pretending to be proper bands. The Pigeon Detectives on the other hand are an excellent choice for this list.
Others include Travis, Kaiser Chiefs, Dodgy, Razorlight etc. Oh yes a bullet for my valentine and all varieties of that type of cack..
However the crown still belongs to Queen.
Scouting For Girls are terrible.
The Feeling are beyond terrible.
There's too many to mention, sections of the UK music scene at the moment are pretty dire. Same old shitey guitar pop with a whiney vocalist going on about lovey dovey stuff.

Can never tell the difference between The Feeling and Maroon 5, same band same shite to me. I'm at an utter loss to understand both bands appeal

Theres a couple of guilty pleasures on there and a few that have done maybe 1 song I don't mind.

Actually, I find the Killers entertaining for all the wrong reasons - I can't really despise them as much as the above bands I have listed, simply because they do have their uses - as in unintentional high comedy.
I've started to warm to Brandon Flowers's unimpeachable sense of the absurd.

Mainstream white rock radio in America has some of the most lame, unoriginal, hard pseudo rock. Pearl Jam and Soundgarden opened the door for these people, somebody outta travel back in time and make sure they never released a CD.

I like Queen too, but they are a band that I do not have in my collection, apart from "Under Pressure" which is on a David Bowie CD..
I also own CD's from the Kaiser Chiefs [Off With Their Heads is a decent album], Sams Town by The Killers [their second album - not too fussed on their other stuff], and "Parachutes" by Coldplay and "X & Y". I saw their set at a festival a few weeks ago on TV, I enjoyed it 
Can't stand the emo stuff though and all the Americana rubbish that started with Limp Bizkit and Slipknot and took off from there...
These days you are lucky to find a band on the radio, its mostly solo & collaborations, usually a female pop star with some black guy talking a load of gibberish over the top.
Queen are an abomination. I can't believe people on here are seriously defending them!
On another note I absolutely detest Radiohead. Most pretentious bunch of wankers in the history of mankind! Especially that prick Thom (why the h???) Yorke. And their guitarist who has disowned the guitar and now only plays world instruments... FFS

Strokes first and third album are quality. I wasn't that much of a fan at first but they are one of the best bands of the last 10 years.

I don't detest Radiohead- I just don't get them. Every best albums chart always has these at the top- but I am scratching my head to understand why.
